FMCC men roll past North Country, 94-65

SARANAC LAKE — Amadou Diakite hit six 3-pointers on his way to a 26-point effort to lead Fulton-Montgomery Community College to a 94-65 victory over North Country Community College in a Mountain Valley Conference men’s basketball game Wednesday.

Diakite also had five rebounds and five assists for the Raiders, who extended their win streak to six games.

Chris Toussaint had 19 points, six rebounds, two assists and two steals for FMCC, Jahmr Jordan finished with 17 points, 11 rebounds, six assists and three steals, and Juwan Malone had 12 points, eight rebounds and three assists. Darren Demmitt added 11 points, 12 rebounds and three steals for the Raiders.

Zackary Rice-Gordon had 13 points and six rebounds for North Country, while Joseph Pinero finished with 12 points. Trajuan Sterling added 10 points for the Saints.

FMCC (8-1 overall) is scheduled to host Finger Lakes Community College on Sunday at 3 p.m.
