FMCC men post win over Broome

JOHNSTOWN — After leading 36-35 at the half, the Fulton-Montgomery Community College men’s basketball team outscored SUNY Broome 43-27 in the second half on its way to an 80-62 victory in a Region 3 contest Monday.

Amadou Diakite finished with 19 points, seven assists, four rebounds and three steals to lead FMCC, while Juwan Malone had 16 points and 10 rebounds. Jahmr Jordan added 14 points and four assists for the Raiders. Jaleel Jean Jacques grabbed 11 rebounds for FMCC.

Ricardo Fernandez scored 19 points to lead Broome, while Reginald Vaughan had 14 points. Cameron Shaw added 11 points for the Hornets.

FMCC (7-1 overall) is slated to travel to North Country on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. contest.
