Gloversville loses to Ballston Spa, 41-6

BALLSTON SPA — Jason McCarthy scored five touchdowns to power Ballston Spa to a 41-6 victory over Gloversville in a Class A Grasso Division football contest Monday.

McCarthy scored on runs of 36, 26, 8, 6 and 5 yards for the Scotties, finishing with 137 yards.

Zach Washington rushed for 146 yards and a touchdown for Ballston Spa.

Addonis Jefferies scored the lone touchdown for Gloversville. Jefferies finished with 40 rushing yards for the Huskies.

Anthony Tomek-Russell completed 9 of 15 passes for the Huskies for 116 yards. He was intercepted twice.

Petey Raldiris rushed for 37 yards for Gloversville and had 50 yards receiving. Julien Deumaga added 53 receiving yards for the Huskies.

The game was scheduled to be played Friday, but was rescheduled due to two confirmed cases of the Coxsackievirus in Gloversville.
