Gloversville drops non-league game to Granville, 5-1

GLOVERSVILLE — Grace Hemcher scored a hat trick to lead Granville to a 5-1 victory over Gloversville in a non-league field hockey game Saturday at Gloversville High School.

Hemcher also had an assist for the Golden Horde, who outshot the Huskies by a 14-12 margin and finished with a 16-4 advantage in penalty corners.

Haley Corlew and Payton Barlow also scored for Granville, while Ashley Hoyt and Barlow each had an assist.

Rileigh Baldwin scored the lone goal for Gloversville.

Lexyss Zovistoski made eight saves for Granville, while Kimi Hastings made nine stops for the Huskies.

Gloversville (0-2 overall) is scheduled to host Schuylerville on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
