FMCC men’s soccer loses to Onondaga

SYRACUSE — The Fulton-Montgomery Community College men’s soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision on the road against Onondaga Community College on Saturday.

Alec Stasyuk, Abdirashid Abdi and Dustin Barck scored for the Lazers, while Harrison Lindrea and Jean Claude Rukundo each had an assist.

Jonathan Mendoza made five saves for FMCC (1-1 overall).

“We had to make some personnel changes today and after making those changes, we settled in and for the next 60 minutes we played well,” FMCC coach Cory Leggiero said. “I am the type of coach that would rather go for the game tying goal then settle for the 1-0 loss. While we were pushing high in the last three minutes they managed two goals.”

FMCC is scheduled to host Hudson Valley today at 4 p.m.
