Brundage powers Wolfpack to win
ST. JOHNSVILLE — Jack Brundage connected for three goals and had two assists to lead Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville to an 8-1 non-league victory over Canajoharie Thursday at Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville High School.
Zack Mosher, Andrew Snell, Tyler Leon, Jaedyn Logan Dillenbeck and Paetyn Logan Dillenbeck also scored for the Wolfpack.
Brundage and Mason Snell had two assists apiece for OESJ, while Braden Fredericks, Conner Clark, Andrew Snell and Leon also had assists.
Alex Blanchard accounted for Canajoharie’s score,while Jared Bentz made 12 saves on 20 OESJ shots in goal for the Cougars.
Fort Plain 5, Sharon Springs 3
FORT PLAIN — Ethan Spaulding scored twice to lead Fort Plain to the non-league win.
Jaxson Yacowenia and Danny Kilmartin added unassisted goals, while Ethan Schoch had a goal and an assist for the Hilltoppers.
Doane Stuart 3, Northville 1
RENSSELAER — Northville’s Curtis Arnold scored off a pass from Nate Reidell in the opening minute of play to give the Falcons an early lead.
However, the Thunder Chicken roared back putting three unanswered goals in the net to claim the non-league victory.
Nelson Htoo scored for Doane Stuart off a Joseph DePreta assist before DePreta added a goal to give the thunder Chicken a 2-1 halftime lead.
With the Falcons pushing for the equalizer late in the game, Kyaw Lwin scored on a breakaway in the final minute to put the final score at 3-1.
