AHS girls tennis drops opener, 5-2

SCHOHARIE — Schoharie won three of five singles matches and both doubles contests to post a 5-2 victory over Amsterdam in a non-league girls tennis match Tuesday.

Alaina Sholtes, Anastasia Cater-Smith and Mackenzie Diamond won singles matches for Schoharie. Allison Gallagher and Mary Palieri won a first doubles for the Indians, while Samantha Lawyer and Skyler Willard won at second doubles.

Natalie Flint and Emily Yandik won singles matches for Amsterdam (0-1 overall).
