GHS tennis loses in quarterfinals

BURNT HILLS — Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake won four of five singles matches and both doubles contests on its way to a 6-1 victory over Gloversville in a Section II Class A boys tennis quarterfinal match Monday.

Ryan Leech, Josh Jones, Peter Fulgeri and Brian Jones won singles matches for the fourth-seeded Spartahs.

Jake Leggeri and Will McKenna won at first doubles for Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake, while Jack Shea and Link Erickson won at second doubles.

Damian Bruce won the lone match for fifth-seeded Gloversville at first singles.

Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake (8-8 overall) advances to face top-seeded Averill Park in today’s semifinals at 4 p.m.

Gloversville ends its season with a 9-6 overall record.
