Raiders split with SUNY Adirondack

JOHNSTOWN — The Fulton-Montgomery Community College Raiders split a double-header with SUNY Adirondack Saturday at the Route 67 Campus.

Adirondack took the opening game 3-1, while the Raiders bounced back to win the nightcap 6-1.

In the opening game Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville graduate Bradley Smith struck out seven and allowed three hits but took the loss for the Raiders, who got two hits in the game, both singles from Brogan Barker and Noah Wygel. Amsterdam’s Kyle Sherlock scored the Raiders lone run of the game on Barker’s RBI single.

In the second game, Michael Reith picked up two RBIs with his double, while Cory Moore also doubled. Barker, Richard Umholtz had RBI singles and Fort Plain’s James May connected for a single, while Josh McCaffrey had an RBI and two singles.
