FONDA — Max Shirley collected six RBIs in a 3-for-3 effort at the plate with a double and two singles to lead Fonda-Fultonville to a 12-7 victory over Canajoharie Wednesday at Fonda-Fultonville High School.

Dylan Hamlen went 3-for-4 with a double, two singles and an RBI for the Braves (2-1 overall, 1-0 WAC), while Luke Neff and Massimo DiCaprio were both 2-for-3 on the day.

Isaiah Logan went 2-for-5 with two singles for Canajoharie (1-1 overall, 1-0 WAC), while Griffin Collins, Nick Suits and Trent Blakeslee and singled.

GALWAY — Troy Butler came on in relief of John Cortese with the bases loaded in the second inning and shut down Galway en route to striking out 13 batters to lead Fort Plain to a 2-0 league win Wednesday at Galway High School.

Butler also had a double and a run scored for the Hilltoppers as did Jaxson Yacowenia and Cortese singled to account for the Fort Plain hits.

Mike Sowle doubled and singled for the Golden Eagles hits.

SCHUYLERVILLE — Dom DiScioscia picked up a pair of RBIs in a 2-for-2 effort at the plate for Johnstown as the Sir Bills fell in their season opener Wednesday at Schuylerville High School.

Alex VanDeusen and Charlie Brown collected doubles for the Sir Bills (0-1, 0-1).

The Black Horses (4-1 overall, 2-0 Foothills) were paced by Stratton Sherman and Jared Gregorek who both went 2-for-3 with two RBIs on the day.

WATERVILLE — Riley Nagle connected for a home run and a pair of singles and three stolen bases to lead Dolgeville past Waterville.

Dylan Walrath struck out eight batters in a two-hit performance on the mound for the Blue Devils.

Connor Marriott and Keoni Morris both singled to account for Waterville’s two hits.
