Patroons defeat Vancouver, 127-100

ALBANY — The Vancouver Knights came into Albany after playing back to back games in Rochester, and then traveled to Albany to play the 9-1 Patroons.

The Pats are now 10-1 after beating a tired Vancouver team, 127-100 before a crowd of almost 1,200 at the Washington Avenue Armory.

Edwin Ubiles, former Siena College great, led all players with 38 points, Smush Parker contributed 16 points, followed by Lloyd Johnson (15), Shane Rector (14), Xavier Moon (12) and Jamario Moon (10).

“I was a bit worried coming into this game because we are without our Torren Jones, who was picked up by Saudi Arabia just this week,” Albany head coach Derrick Rowland said. “Eddie (Ubiles) stepped up to the plate with his 38 points, and Jamario Moon who was good for 17 rebounds, showed me what this team is really made of.

The Patroons play the Rochester RazorSharks on Wednesday night at the Blue Cross Arena in Rochester before coming home to the Armory to take on the Ohio Cardinals on Saturday at 7:05 pm.

Gloversville’s EJ Gallup finished with six points and two assists.
