FMCC men, women earn regional spots

JOHNSTOWN — Following their victories over Columbia-Greene Community College Saturday, the Fulton-Montgomery Community College basketball teams learned their seeds in the NJCAA Region 3 D-III basketball tournament.

The Raiders topped Columbia-Greene 125-94 Saturday and picked up the eighth seed in the tournament and will could face top-seeded Mohawk Valley in the opening round on Tuesday.

The FMCC Lady Raiders slipped past Columbia-Greene 72-68 and will enter the tournament as the No. 8 seed.

The Lady Raiders are scheduled to play top-seeded Finger Lakes Community College in the regional quarterfinals at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Finger Lakes CC.
