Calderone, Monroe lead B-P to victory

BROADALBIN — Dante Calderone and Troy Montroe combined for 50 points to lead Broadalbin-Perth past Scotia-Glenville 59-47 in Foothills Council boys basketballa action Monday night at Broadalbin-Perth High School.

Calderone did nis damage on the inside with 10 field goals and a 6-for-7 effort from the free-throw line for a game-high 26 points, while Monroe delivered six 3-pointers in his 24 points effort. Lucas Coon had seven points and Bobby Munn two to round out the Patriots scoring.

Andrew LaMorta led Scotia-Glenville with 17 points, while Brendan Caldwell had 11 and Robert Barrera finished with seven.

FONDA — Terrance Pierce delivered 18 points amd Jackson Atty added 12 more but it was not enough to get past Mekeel Christian Academy as teh Lions posted an 86-35 non-league victory Monday night at Fonda-Fultonville High School.

Deonte Holder led Mekeel Christian with 25 points, while Jordan Jackson had 18, Carter Stewart 17 and Alex Barnhill finished with 14 points. Gideon Aglo and Josh Winfield chipped in with six points apiece.

Josh Coyne had three points for the Braves, while Angelo Canale and Nik Couture closed out the Fonda-Fultonville scoring with one point apiece.

The teams combined for 24 3-pointers in the game.
