Wells’ Trezise named MVAC soccer all-star

The Wells girls soccer team had one player named to the Northern Soccer League Division III all-star team.

Joy Trezise was the lone selection for the Lady Indians.

Johnsburg’s Khaleah Cleveland was named Most Valuable Player, while Johnsburg’s Andy Snide was named Coach of the Year.

The Jaguars, who went 13-3 this season and won the NSL Division III title, also had Megan Bacon, Taylor Dwyer and Ryan Riedinger named first-team all-stars.

Crown Point had Torri Vradenburg, Swade Potter and Hannah Palmer named first-team all-stars, while Keene’s Elly Smith and Alyssa Summo also earned first-team honors. Rounding out the first-team selections were Schroon Lake’s Sam Grey, Willsboro’s Savannah Bronson and Indian Lake-Long Lake’s Maria Black.

Willsboro had Olivia Politi, Sheila Wilkins and Katie Wilkins named second-team all-stars, while Crown Point’s Kayli Stone and Bailey Noel also earned second-team honors.

Rounding out the second-team honorees were Schroon Lake’s Emily Maisonville, Keene’s Emily Whitney, Minerva-Newcomb’s Alyssa Comeau, Indian Lake-Long Lake’s Lillian Dechene and Schroon Lake’s Amanda Grey.

Indian Lake-Long Lake earned the Ray Holmes Sportsmanship Award.
