AMSTERDAM — Gloversville’s Julien Deumaga hit 1 of 2 free throws with no time on the clock to force overtime during Friday’s Foothills Council game with Amsterdam.

In overtime, Deumaga scored 10 of the Dragons’ 16 points to lead Gloversville to an 85-79 victory at Amsterdam High School. Deumaga finished with 16 points and 12 rebounds.

Dante Bouchard scored 32 points to lead the Dragons, while Joey Rowback added 29 points and nine rebounds.

It was the sixth straight victory for Gloversville (8-3 overall, 6-3 Foothills), which travels to league-leading Glens Falls on Tuesday.

Lou Fedullo scored 29 points to lead Amsterdam (8-3 overall, 7-2 Foothills), while Ozzy DeJesus scored 17 points. Jeff Brennan added 13 points for the Rams, who are slated to travel to Broadalbin-Perth on Tuesday.

Christian Corker scored 17 points to lead the Tartans, while Brendan Caldwell had 13 points. Robert Barrera added 11 points for Scotia-Glenville (6-3 Foothills).

Adam Wilson scored 15 points for Johnstown (2-8 overall, 2-7 Foothills), which suffered its fourth consecutive loss.

The Sir Bills are scheduled to travel to South Glens Falls on Tuesday for a 7:30 p.m. contest.

GLENS FALLS — Joe Girard III scored 59 points to power Glens Falls to a Foothills Council victory over Broadalbin-Perth on Friday.

Girard hit 11 3-pointers in the game as he pushed his career point total to 2,750. He is just 49 points away from the all-time New York Public High School Athletic Association record of 2,799 set by Greenport’s Ryan Creighton. The overall state mark is 2,946 set by Lance Stephenson of Abraham Lincoln.

Trent Girard added 18 points on six 3-pointers for Glens Falls (9-1 Foothills).

Troy Monroe scored 22 points to lead Broadalbin-Perth (3-8 overall, 2-7 Foothills), while Dante Calderone had 18 points. Lucas Coon scored 14 for the Patriots and Robert Munn added 10.

It was the third straight loss for Broadalbin-Perth.

The Patriots are slated to host Amsterdam on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
