C-FP swimmers top Amsterdam, 83-44

CANAJOHARIE — Canajoharie-Fort Plain won seven of 10 events on its way to an 83-44 victory over Amsterdam in a non-league boys swim meet Tuesday.

Joe Trembley won the 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard freestyle for Canajoharie-Fort Plain (2-1 overall), while Emily Abrams (200 individual medley), Alex Sydow (100 butterfly) and Danion Jonker (500 freestyle).

C-FP also won the 200 medley and 200 freestyle relays.

In the 200 medley relay, the team of Matthew Travis, Abrams, Sydow and Joe Trembley won with a time of 1:57.78.

In the 200 freestyle relay, the team of Trent Blakeslee, Ella Robinson, Olivia Hopkins and Jenna Trembley won with a time of 2:00.77.

Thomas Knack won the 200 freestyle and 100 breaststroke for Amsterdam (0-4 overall). The Rams also won the 400 freestyle relay as the team of Knack, Alex Slovack, Sam Phetteplace and Lucas Sarabia posted a time of 4;17.05.

The 1-meter diving event was not contested and no one scored in the 100 backstroke.
