Boys Basketball Roundup: Wells routs Johnsburg, 83-44

JOHNSBURG — Justin Foster finished with 28 points to lead Wells to an 83-44 victory over Johnsburg in a Mountain and Valley Athletic Conference boys basketball game Monday.

The Indians led 30-8 after one quarter on their way to the win.

Ryan Bolebruch scored 14 points for Wells (2-3 overall, 2-2 MVAC), while Coby Stuart, Tre Zimmerman and Shane Kennedy all had eight points.

Calab Buck scored 17 points to lead Johnsburg, while Connor Cavanagh posted 14 points. Jaxon Roblee added 11 points for the Jaguars.

CANAJOHARIE — The Wolfpack rebounded from their first loss of the season on Friday with a Western Athletic Conference victory over Canajoharie .

Elias Sanchez scored 23 points to lead Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville (6-1 overall, 4-1 WAC), while Devyn Jones and Tyler Leon each had 16 points.

Luke VanSlyke paced Canajoharie with his game-high 24 points, while Andrew Yacobucci finished with 10 points. The Cougars slipped to 0-8 overall and 0-4 in WAC play with the loss.
