Amsterdam swimmers lose to HF-SGF

AMSTERDAM — Amsterdam won eight of 12 events, but Hudson Falls-South Glens Falls used its depth to post a 101-72 victory in a Foothills Council boys swim meet at Lynch Literacy Academy on Wednesday.

Trevor Dzikowicz (200-yard freestyle, 100-yard freestyle), Lucas Sarabia (500 freestyle, 50 freestyle) and Thomas Knack (100 butterfly, 100 breaststroke) all won two events for Amsterdam (0-3 overall), while Alex Slovack won the 100 backstroke.

The Rams also won the 200 medley relay.

Dimitri Bonesteel (200 individual medley) and Vincent Canale-Rouse (1-meter diving) each won an event for Hudson Falls-South Glens Falls, which also won the 200 freestyle and 400 freestyle relays.
