Girls Soccer Roundup: Gloversville blanks Broadalbin-Perth, 5-0

BROADALBIN — After going scoreless until just 1:06 remained in the first half, Gloversville scored four times in the final 40 minutes in a 5-0 Foothills Council South Division victory over Broadalbin-Perth on Tuesday at Patriot Field.

Taylor Mee scored the game’s first goal for the Lady Dragons with 1:06 left in the first half.

After the break, Harmony Philo, Sydney Loux, Angel Anderson and Kerri Hauser all scored second-half goals for Gloversville.

Alex Benfatti, Loux, Mee and Philo all had assists for the Lady Dragons.

Benfatti had three saves to post the shutout for Gloversville (2-3 overall, 1-2 Foothills).

Morgan Rossi made 12 saves for Broadalbin-Perth (0-6 overall, 0-6 Foothills).

Johnstown 2, Amsterdam 0

AMSTERDAM — Jenna Thompson and Madison Delgado scored to lift Johnstown to a Foothills Council South Division victory over Amsterdam.

Jareymarie Aponte made 18 saves for Amsterdam (3-2 overall, 2-2 Foothills).

Johnstown (4-2 overall, 3-2 Foothills) is scheduled to host Schuylerville on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.

The Lady Rams are slated to travel to Hudson Falls on Thursday for a 4:30 p.m. contest.

South Glens Falls 9, Glens Falls 1

QUEENSBURY — Aly Fish finished with four goals to lead South Glens Falls to a Foothills Council North Division victory over Glens Falls.

Amya Naja had a goal and three assists for the Bulldogs, while Brooke DelSignore and Marley James each had a goal and an assist.

Haylay Kingman and Jess Winslow also scored for South Glens Falls.

Kate Barclay scored the lone goal for Glens Falls.

Morgan French and Karlee Taber each made three saves for South Glens Falls.

Mikayla Bennett made 14 saves for Glens Falls.

Schuylerville 8, Hudson Falls 0

SCHUYLERVILLE — Amy Moreau finished with three goals and an assist to lead Schuylerville to a Foothills Council North Division victory over Hudson Falls.

Emily Vallee had two goals and three assists for the Black Horses, while Cassie Patrick had two goals.

Emma Nesbitt also scored for Schuylerville, while Jessica White had two assists.

Abra LaFontaine finished with 13 saves for Hudson Falls.

Northern Soccer League

Keene 5, Wells 2

WELLS — Elly Smith and Alyssa Summo each scored two goals to lift Keene to a victory over Wells.

Smith also finished with two assists.

Caitlyn Lopez also scored for the Beavers, while Lura Johnson and Kaiya Belisle each had an assist.

Brenna DeWalt made five saves for Keene.

It was the season-opening contest for Wells.
