Caroga Creek to host NYDK Series

EPHRATAH — One of the major events on the 2017 Caroga Creek Speedway schedule will take place June 10. The New York Dirt Kart Series race will offer 14 different classes for area fans to watch at the Todd Moran-owned and promoted speedway.

Moran expects to host more than 200 karts to compete on his 1/5-mile clay surface track, according to a news release.

Gates to the speedway will open at 11 a.m. with a drivers meeting scheduled for 2 p.m. Practice for all competitors by their class will start at 2:30 p.m. followed by time trials, B Mains, if necessary, and features. The New York Dirt Kart Series features will be 20 laps in distance while the pro classes will do battle in 25-lap features.

General admission for the NYDKS event will be $15, with children 4 and younger admitted free.
