Johnstown girls, boys post lacrosse victories

JOHNSTOWN — Eight players put goals in the book as the Johnstown Lady Bills rolled to an 11-4 victory over Schenectady in non-league girls lacrosse action Thursday at Knox Field.

Abbie Hollister led the Johnstown attack with three goals, while Alley Queeney had two goals and three assists.

Maddie Etherton finished with a goal and three assists, while Kaitlyn Serpa, Mango Delgado, Amber Tesi, Rachel Lee and Paige Stewart had one goal apiece.

Emily Wheelis collected six saves in goal for the Lady Bills.

Boys Lacrosse

Johnstown 17, Lansingburgh 16, OT

LANSINGBURGH — The Johnstown Sir Bills rallied from eight goals down midway through the third quarter to tie the game and pick up the overtime victory Thursday night at Lansingburgh High School.

Kerry Blackwood had five goals and two assists for Johnstown,w hile Garrett Way had seven assists and four goals and Trevor Murphy had three goals and two assists.

Andy Sitterly had two goals and three assists, Josh Hoyt added two goals and two assists, while Alex Yerdon added a goal and Zack Serpa had an assists for the Sir Bills.
