Dolgeville boys third at sectionals

SAUQUOIT — The Dolgeville boys track and field team placed third at the Section III Class C1 Championships on Friday at Sauquoit Valley High School.

Tully won the boys team title with 161.25 points, while host Sauquoit Valley was second with 122 points. Dolgeville was third with 63.75 points.

Cole Harlow won the shot put with a throw of 42-9 1/2 and placed second in the discus with a throw of 110-7.

The Blue Devils won the 4 x 100 relay as the team of Anthony Chromczak, Zach Carpenter, Aasin Claus and Anthony Randall posted a time of 46.73.

Chromczak was fourth in the 100 meters for Dolgeville with a time of 11.95 seconds.

Dylan Lamphere was second in the high jump with a height of 5-6, while Nic Rankins (5-0) was fifth. Lamphere also (58.40) was fifth in the 400 meters.

Charlies Harshbarger (10-6) was fourth in the pole vault for the Blue Devils, Joshua Seeberger (2:09.73) was fourth in the 800 meters and David Pierce (1,557 points) was fourth in the pentathlon.

Jake Baisley (4:43.52) was second in the 1,600 meters and sixth in the 3,200 meters with a time of 10:35.01. He also placed sixth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10:55.4.

In the girls meet, Tully claimed the team title with 197 points, while South Lewis was second with 192 points.

Host Sauquoit Valley was third with 52 points, Port Byron was fourth with 43 points and Dolgeville was fifth with 35 points.

Sarah George won the triple jump for the Blue Devils with a leap of 32-4, while Ryanne Williams was second with a leap of 31-4 1/2.

Alexis Smith was fifth in the 100-meter hurdles for Dolgeville with a time of 18.34 seconds, while Bobbie Lee Hall was third in the high jump with a height of 4-4 and fourth in the pole vault with a height of 7-6.

Emm Bilinski (27-1 1/4) was sixth in the shot put for the Blue Devils.

The team of Mckensey Castor, George, Smith and Rachael Gross was third in the 4 x 100 relay with a time of 54.34 seconds.
