Sir Bills fall to 1-6 overall

JOHNSTOWN — Hunter Staley scored three goals to lead Holland Patent to an 8-3 victory over Johnstown in a non-league boys lacrosse game Wednesday at Knox Field.

The Golden Knights led 3-2 at the half before outscoring the Sir Bills 5-1 after the break to earn the victory.

Nick Goodemote had a two goals and two assists for Holland Patent (2-1 overall), while John Panzone and Pat Carpenter each had a goal and an assist. Justin Haas also scored for the Golden Knights.

Garrett Way, Ryan Crooker and Kerry Blackwood scored for Johnstown, while Ben Poitras had two assists.

Johnstown (1-6 overall) is scheduled to travel to Cambridge on Tuesday for a 5 p.m. Wasaren League contest.
