Gloversville competes at last chance meet
ALBANY — The Gloversville boys swim team competed at the Section II Last Chance Meet on Saturday at Albany Academy.
In the 200-yard freestyle, Nicholas Vincent (2:15.24) was first for the Sea Dragons. Rami Haddawi (2:18.55) was second for Gloversville, Kamden Daniels (2:31.75) was third, Ben Smouse (2:36.01) was fourth, John Witzke (2:39.39) was fifth and Bryce Walker (3:09.31) was seventh.
Vincent also won the 500 freestyle with a time of 6:09.30, while Daniels was seventh with a time of 7:11.01.
Haddawi (1:01.99) was eighth in the 100 freestyle, while Marawan Abbas (1:02.30) was 10th.
Ian Strom (1:16.45) was second in the 100 butterfly
Strom, Abbas and Witzke also competed in the 50-yard freestyle, while Smouse competed in the 100 freestyle.
