More than 50 girls participated in the third volleyball mini-camp of the spring presented by the Gloversville Huskies Volleyball Program. More than 160 third-, fourth- and fifth-grade girls from Boulevard Elementary School have participated in the camps since April. And nearly 20 current and future Huskies volleyball players volunteered their time as coaches. The Gloversville Huskies volleyball program also will host volleyball camps this summer. The fundamentals camp is for all girls entering grades seven to 12 and of all levels of ability. It runs July 23 and 24 from 9 a.m. to noon at Gloversville High School and costs $20. The advanced camp is for girls with three years or more of playing experience and play at a higher level. It runs July 25 and 27 from 9 a.m. to noon at Gloversville High School and costs $30. Campers from outside the Gloversville school district will need to include a signed waiver. Camp applications and waivers can be found on the Gloversville school website, www.gesdk12.org.
