The latest results from Section 2 softball:
WEDNESDAY, MAY 1
Guilderland defeated Shenendehowa 8-5 in the Suburban Council. Laila Smith doubled, homered, drove in four and scored to lead the Lady Dutch. Lily Durivage went 3 for 4 with an RBI and three runs. Meghan Paul homered, drove in two and scored twice. Natalia Colone went 2 for 3 with a double, two RBIs and a run for the Plainsmen.
Emily Aiossa went 2 for 2 with a double and two RBIs to lead Averill Park to a 6-2 win over Bethlehem. Natalia Mancino added a triple for the Warriors.
Albany defeated Schenectady 20-0 in a five-inning game. Laila Baum went 2 for 4 with a double, four RBIs and two runs. She also struck out 10 for the pitching win. Jade Breland had two hits and two RBIs.
Shaker downed Saratoga Springs 9-1. Tatum Passonno went 2 for 3 with a double and a run for the Blue Bison. Lola Lofrumento was 2 for 3 with three runs. Hannah Hipwell was 2 for 3 with a double and a run, and also struck out eight from the pitching circle.
Anna Joyce hit a grand slam to help Niskayuna nip Columbia 13-12.
Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake shut out Troy 14-0 on its Senior Day.
Ichabod Crane topped Cohoes 10-4 in Colonial Council action. Ava Heffner had a double, home run, four RBIs and three runs to lead the Riders. Makayla Walsh singled twice and drove in three. Riley Heighes went 2 for 4 with an RBI and a run to lead Cohoes. Sydney Hunt doubled and drove in two.
Schalmont downed Mohonasen 5-3. Maggie Raymond led the Sabres by going 4 for 4. Malia Rafferty, Libby Trestick, Marissa Phillips and Gia Kowalczyk each drove in one. Ruby Zinnershine had two hits and an RBI for Mohonasen. Kelsey Stickney added two hits.
Holy Trinity defeated Albany Academy 12-3. Kara Corso doubled and had an RBI for the Bears.
Greenville downed Catskill 15-1 in the Patroon Conference. Shea Landversicht had three RBIs and also struck out eight to earn the pitching win. Brianna Shutter was 2 for 2 with three RBIs and three runs.
Hudson Falls defeated Queensbury 9-5 in the Foothills Council.
In non-league action, Lansingburgh shut out Taconic Hills 12-0. Anna Patregnani went 3 for 4 with five RBIs. Guiliana Patregnani struck out 11 in the win, and also went 2 for 4. Addy Skabowski had a double for Taconic Hills.
In the Wasaren League, Tamarac downed Greenwich 12-7. Addison Ferris went 2 for 5 with two RBIs and three runs for the Bengals. Brooke Kuzmich went 3 for 5 with three runs to lead Greenwich.
TUESDAY, APRIL 30
Ichabod Crane defeated South Glens Falls 7-1 in a non-league matchup. Kari Graziano allowed one run on four hits, over seven complete innings. Ali Cox went 3 for 3 at the plate, with an RBI, while Abbey Milazzo was 2 for 4 with a home run and two RBIs. Ava Heffner tacked on two hits and two RBIs.
Lansingburgh defeated Catskill 13-0 in six innings via the mercy rule. Anna Patregnani was 4 for 5 with a double and five RBIs. Taylor Moran added two doubles, while Guiliana Patregnani went 4 for 5 and tossed a two-hitter in the circle, with 12 strikeouts.
MONDAY, APRIL 29
Allison Mienaltowski and Genna Rickert combined on a five-inning perfect game with seven strikeouts, and Victoria Silva had a triple, two runs and an RBI as Duanesburg downed Fort Plain 12-0 in a Western Athletic Conference game. Mienaltowski had two hits and two RBIs, and Harlee Manus, Shannon Zink and Hailey Davis each chipped in with a hit, two runs and an RBI.
Abby Gullett went 4-for-4 with four runs and two RBIs as part of Galway’s 19-hit effort in a 19-5, five-inning win over Middleburgh. Sadie Stead went 3-for-4 with a triple, double, four runs and three RBIs for the Eagles, Courtney Smith went 3-for-4 with double, single and four RBIs, and Amber Kolpakas went 3-for-4 with three RBIs. Brooke Devlin had a triple, double and three runs for the Knights.
Sara Macrina fired a one-hitter with 17 strikeouts and drove in three runs to spark Berne-Knox-Westerlo’s 10-0 win over Mayfield. Macrina hit a double, while Madysen Saddlemire had a double and single for the Bulldogs, and Emma Cyr had two singles.
Hailey Farquharson went 2-for-3 with a triple, two runs and an RBI, and Shenendehowa put together a four-run second inning as part of an 8-0 Suburban Council win over Albany. Quinn Farquharson had a hit and two RBIs for the Plainsmen, Ella Kean and Natalia Colone both had a hit and an RBI. Lailai Baum had a double and single for the Falcons.
Emma Hanlon’s RBI single in the bottom of the seventh inning capped a big comeback and lifted Bethlehem over Saratoga Springs 5-4. The Eagles trailed 4-0 before scoring four runs in the fifth inning, with the tying run coming across on a single by Anna Peles. Emily Ruscio had four hits for the Blue Streaks
Riley Heighes pitched a four-hitter, gave up one earned run and scored three times herself, and Sydney Hunt collected two singles and two RBIs to lift Cohoes over Voorheesville 4-2 in the Colonial Council.
Brooke Howlan authored a two-hitter with 10 strikeouts, and Natalia Devine knocked in three runs and had a double and two singles to help Schalmont defeat Cobleskill-Richmondville 8-1. Schalmont improved to 9-1 overall.
Ava Quenneville went 4-for-5, hit for the cycle, and drove in six runs in Mohonasen’s 13-12 win at Lansingburgh. Taylor Mann went 3-for-6 with a homer and five RBIs for Lansingburgh, and Guilliana Patregnani struck out 16 including the 200th batter of her career.
Mechanicville scored on a stolen base and overthrow in the bottom of the ninth inning to beat Hoosick Falls 1-0 in a Wasaren League game. Paige Rogers went the distance for Mechanicville and gave up three hits while fanning six. Kennedy Boisvert took the loss despite allowing one hit with 16 strikeouts over 8 1-3 innings.
Cadence Weiss went 3-for-4, and Hudson stole 11 bases in an 11-7 Patroon Conference win over Taconic Hills.
SATURDAY, APRIL 27
Canajoharie scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth and three more in the bottom of the seventh to beat Fort Plain 11-10 in the Western Athletic Conference. Fort Plain scored eight runs in the top of the fifth to take a 10-5 lead.
Gianna Memrick had a double, two singles and two RBIs, including the game-winner, for Canajoharie. Tori Blakeslee had a double and two RBIs. Marissa Wilder led Canajoharie with a triple, double, two singles and four RBIs.
Taylor Hayes and Sydney Hazzard combined for six hits and seven RBIs as OESJ beat Middleburgh 11-2. Kali Hazzard struck out seven in a complete-game effort.
Emily Coffey had two doubles, a single and two RBIs in Maple Hill’s 10-1 Patroon Conference win over Rensselaer. Faiel Glasheen-Haase had two hits, Kate Brodzinski had a triple and three RBIs, Sophia Miller added a triple and two RBIs and Olivia Mueller had a triple.
Ballston Spa won twice in Syracuse, beating Webster Thomas 5-3 and handing it its first loss of the season, and then the Scotties beat Jamesville-DeWitt 3-0. Livia Wiltsie struck out 11 in getting the shutout. She also had a homer in the game. Madelyn Perron hit two homers and had three RBIs on the day.
Troy and Schuylerville split a doubleheader. Troy won the opener 6-5 in eight innings on Olivia Ashline’s walk-off RBI single. Kayle Kussler led Troy with a home run, two doubles and four RBIs. Gianna Barringer had a solo homer and single, and Nadia Mulinio had three singles. Riley Keefer homered for Schuylerville. Sophia Wahl had two singles, and Catherine Carpenter drove in two runs.
Schuylerville took Game 2 8-6. Sophie Bodnar led the way with a double, two singles and three RBIs. Taylor Dennis added two singles and two RBIs. For Troy, Mulinio had a double, two singles and two RBIs, Kussler had a double, single and three RBIs and Ashline had two singles.
Guilderland won two games, topping Saugerties 6-2 and Marlboro 4-3. In the Saugerties game, Meghan Paul went 2 for 3 with a double, home run, two RBIs and a run to lead the Lady Dutch. Against Marlboro, Guilderland rallied from a 3-1 deficit. Paul had a solo home run, and Laila Smith went 2 for 3 with two RBIs.
Columbia split a doubleheader, losing to Roy C. Ketcham 7-1 and beating John Jay East Fishkill 5-0. In the loss, Kacey Breen went 2 for 3 with a run, while Sophia Galligan drove in the run. In the win, Stella Guzek struck out eight, walked one and threw a three-hitter. She also had two hits and a run. Galligan went 2 for 4 with two RBIs. Emma Warner was 2 for 3 with an RBI and a run.
FRIDAY, APRIL 26
Bre Hayes pitched one-hit ball with seven strikeouts, and Natalia Colone had a home run, two singles and three RBIs to lift Shenendehowa over Saratoga Springs 12-0 in a five-inning Suburban Council game. Sarah MacFarlane and Hayes both had two hits and two RBIs.
Hadley Donnelly struck out 10 and gave up two hits over five innings, and Madelyn Perrone picked up five RBIs with a homer and double in Ballston Spa’s 9-0 win over Niskayuna. Carina DeCenza chipped in with two hits and two RBIs for the Scotties.
Olivia Ashline hit a three-run home run, Gabby Hansen went 3-for-3 with two RBIs and Vanessa Quinn went 3-for-4 with two doubles and three RBI in Troy’s mercy-shortened 23-0 win over Schenectady.
Hannah Hipwell pitched a two-hitter with nine strikeouts, and Ruby Szemplinski had a pair of singles for Shaker in a 4-1 win over Colonie. Shaker scored all of its runs in the sixth inning. Katie Parisi had both hits for Colonie.
Marissa Phillips had two singles, three RBIs and the winning pitching decision as Schalmont logged an 11-3 Colonial Council win over Voorheesville on its Senior Night. Natalia Devine had a double, two singles and three runs for the Sabres, and Alana Judeikis had a hit and two RBIs.
Katie Leclerc went 3 for 3 with two doubles to lead Mohonasen to a 13-3 win over Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk. Ava Quenneville also had three hits.
Riley Heighes hurled a two-hitter with 17 strikeouts, and went 3-for-4 at the plate with a homer and three RBIs to propel Cohoes past Cobleskill-Richmondville 6-0. Hailey Van Bramer and Meg Loisellle both had two hits and two RBIs for the Tigers, and Sydney Hunt added two hits.
Maizy Saunders collected three singles, Alexis Broderick and Kloe Fetrow both had two singles, Aubrey Byrns contributed a triple and two RBIs and winning pitcher Kaylee Klymkow doubled and struck out nine in Mayfield’s 8-7 Western Athletic Conference win at Canajoharie. Gianna Memrick smacked a three-run homer for the Cougars, Zionna Robarge had a triple and single, and Elaina Wells had two singles.
Duanesburg beat Middleburgh 12-3. Allison Mienaltowski led the Eagles' offense with a double, home run, five RBIs and three runs. Victoria Silva went 3 for 3 with an RBI and a run.
Winning pitcher Toni DiLorenzo, Bella DiLorenzo, McKenna Ashe and Cam Diclerg each had two hits as Tamarac beat Mechanicville 10-8 in the Wasaren League. Lila Christensen and Paige Rogers both had two hits for Mechanicville.
Gabriella Logue struck out 15 and gave up two earned runs, and Klaudia Vitale had a double and two singles for Hudson in a 15-5 Patroon Conference win over Catskill.
Maple Hill beat Rensselaer 10-1 behind Maddy Camadine’s two-hit pitching, Emily Coffey’s two doubles and single, and Kate Brodzinski’s triple and three RBIs.
Greenville scored four runs in the first inning and continued to add on in a 19-7 win over Taconic Hills. Brianna Shutter had two hits for Greenville.
THURSDAY, APRIL 25
Schuylerville earned a dramatic 1-0 walk-off win over Broadalbin-Perth in a Foothills Council contest. Makenna Hart drove in Sophie Bodnar in the bottom of the ninth, as the Black Horses took the win. Sophia Wahl surrendered four hits in a complete game, nine-inning shutout. She struck out 15 and walked one. Adrianna Smith matches zeroes for eight innings in the circle for the Patriots, allowing just two hits. She struck out three and walked three in the complete game loss. Camille Calderone had collected two hits for Broadalbin-Perth.
Mechanicville cruised to a 13-1 win over Saratoga Catholic in Wasaren League play. Lila Christensen, Addison Pane, and Brian Blake each had two hits for Mechanicville, while Christensen had four RBIs and Pane and Blake each had three. Paige Rogers allowed two hits and one walk, striking out six in the circle. Hailey Ogneiwski had a hit and RBI for the Saints.
Greenwich eased past Berlin-New Lebanon 18-2, as Kiley Allen went 3 for 3 with a home run, three runs scored and three RBIs. Brooke Kuzmich, Maddie Curley, Ella Celani and Oliveah Reiszel all collected two hits for Greenwich.
Ichabod Crane picked up a 13-1 win over Schalmont in a Colonial Council game. Kari Graziano allowed three hits and an unearned run over five innings, with two walks and four strikeouts. Graziano was also 2 for 3 with two RBIs at the plate. Skylar Konkle was 2 for 3 with a double and four RBIs. Makayla Walsh was 3 for 4 with three RBIs.
Galway won both games of a Western Athletic Conference doubleheader against OESJ, with scores of 22-0 and 16-0.
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 24
Saratoga Springs seniors Olivia Tetreault and Sarah Decker led the Blue Streaks to a 3-2 walk-off win over Troy on their Senior Night. In the bottom of the seventh inning, Tetreault reached on a single, and came around to score on a walk-off double by Decker. Decker had three hits in the game, including two doubles, while Tetreault was 2 for 3. Charlotte Drabek allowed two unearned runs over seven innings in the circle, while also going 1 for 2 with an RBI at the plate. Kaylee Kussler was 2 for 3 with an RBI for Troy.
Shenendehowa defeated Niskayuna 10-0, as Sara MacFarlane was 2 for 5 with two RBIs and Natalia Colonie was 3 for 5 with two RBIs for the Plainsmen. Ava Margosian tacked on two hits and two runs scored.
Ballston Spa took down Schenectady 26-0, as Lyla Moryl allowed one hit and struck out 10 in the five-inning, mercy rule win. Livia Wiltsie was 3 for 3 with two home runs and seven RBIs.
Mayfield used six-spots in each the first and second innings as it cruised past Mayfield 19-2 in Western Athletic Conference action. Alexis Broderick had a grand slam, single and six RBIs in the win, while Arianna Ruberti struck out seven over three innings.
Fonda-Fultonville topped Fort Plain 15-9. Scout Huckans went 4 for 4 with two doubles, four RBIs and four runs to lead Fonda. Grace Furnare was 4 for 5 with a double and five RBIs. Harper Huckans went 3 for 4 with two doubles and three RBIs. A. Hart hit a grand slam for Fort Plain.
Greenville defeated Maple Hills 13-1 in Patroon Conference action, behind a walk-off mercy rule, two-run double from Brianna Shutter. Shea Landversicht allowed one run on two hits and one walk, striking out seven, in the complete six innings.
Taconic Hills topped Rensselaer 12-0, as eighth-grader Kaylin Brazie tossed a two-hit shutout. Grace Alvarez had two hits and four RBIs for Taconic Hills, and Alyssa Bleau collected two hits.
Catholic Central/Holy Trinity used a 10-run fourth inning to take control against Voorheesville in a 14-0 Colonial Council win. Skyler Wessels completed the five-inning shutout in the circle, allowing just two hits with two strikeouts. At the plate, she had a triple and two RBIs.
Mohonasen picked up a 4-1 win over Cobleskill-Richmondville, as Alyssa Albanese allowed six hits and three walks, with six strikeouts, in the complete-game victory. Ally Palmer recorded nine strikeouts in the loss.
TUESDAY, APRIL 23
Bethlehem topped Schenectady 21-0, behind a no-hitter from Emma Hanlon in the five-inning, mercy rule shortened Suburban Council contest on Tuesday. Hanlon struck out 14 and walked two, while going 1 for 4 with three RBIs at the plate. Caroline Forand went 3 for 4 with three RBIs, and Molly Campbell had a triple and two RBIs.
Greenwich defeated Cambridge 21-2 in the Wasaren League. Brooke Kuzmich went 3 for 3 with three RBIs in the win, and Lexi Jansen was 3 for 4 with four RBIs. Kiley Allen added two hits and two RBIs. Isabel Darfler was 2 for 3 with two RBIs for Cambridge.
Albany Academy took down Lansingburgh 10-2 in Colonial Council action. Shayley Hartnett racked up 16 strikeouts in the circle for the Bears, and also had a home run and three RBIs. Lansingburgh’s Lily Colantonio hit a home run as well.
Ava Tabakian was 2 for 4 with two runs to help Voorheesville top Cobleskill-Richmondville 6-3. Sarah Schweigard was 2 for 4 with a run for the Bulldogs.
MONDAY, APRIL 22
Columbia clawed its way to a 1-0 Suburban Council victory over Ballston Spa on Monday, as Mya Parkinson threw a no-hitter for the Blue Devils. Parkinson struck out 11, with two walks, while also going 1 for 2 at the plate. Tessa Warner was 1 for 3 and scored the only run of the game in the bottom of the fifth inning.
Bethlehem defeated Albany 5-1, as Kay Heffern threw a complete game for the Eagles, allowing one run on five hits, with eight strikeouts. Heffern and Emma Hanlon each collected two hits and a RBI in the win.
Ichabod Crane defeated Catholic Central 6-1 in Colonial Council action. Kari Graziano recorded nine strikeouts, while allowing one run over seven complete innings. Abbey Milazzo went 2 for 4 with two RBIs and Skylar Konkle was 2 for 4 with an RBI.
Voorheesville cruised to a 16-4 win over Lansingburgh, with Abby Brown racking up 12 strikeouts in the circle for the Blackbirds. Maddy Spath added a home run and three RBIs in the win. Lansingburgh’s Layla Enous hit a home run, and Kendra Losee had a triple.

Mayfield topped OESJ 7-1, as Arianna Ruberti tossed a complete game one-hitter with 12 strikeouts and one walk. Alexis Broderick hit a solo home run, and Kaylee Klymkow had a triple, double, single and two RBIs. Maya Rohling tacked on two singles and two RBIs.
Berne-Knox-Westerlo defeated Duanesburg 6-1, and Schoharie defeated Fort Plain 3-1.
Maple Hill defeated Catskill 17-5 in a Patroon Conference mercy-rule win. Kate Brodzinski had two hits, including a double and two RBIs for Maple Hill, and Maddy Camadine collected three hits, including a triple, three stolen bases and two RBIs. Emily Coffey added three hits, a triple and two RBIs, and Amalya LaPlante had two hits, a double and four RBIs. Maple Hill pitcher Maddy Camadine struck out 10 over 5 innings, without allowing an earned run. Catskill’s Olivia White had two hits, Madison Jones had a double and Juliana Catanzaro had a single and RBI.

Liza Mannarino was 3 for 4 with two RBIs, and Lydia Santabarbara hit two doubles. Ava Diamante went 3 for 3 with an RBI to lead Mohonasen. Kate Leclerc and Isabella Clute also had RBIs.
Taconic Hills defeated Webutuck 29-5, as pitcher Mikayla Silvernail gave up five runs in the first inning and wouldn't let another player get into scoring position for the rest of the game. Taconi Hills’ Elle Atwood went 4 for 4 with two doubles and three RBIs, and Maddy Manzi went 3 for 3 with a double, home run and five RBIs. Grace Alvarez and Addy Skabowski each homered as well for Taconic Hills.
Troy picked up a 14-0 mercy-rule win over Cohoes, as the Flying Horses tallied 15 hits as a team. Kaylee Kussler was 3 for 4 with four RBIs, and Vanessa Quinn was 2-for-4 with three runs scored. Katie Pryor added two hits and an RBI, and Lauren Matthews tossed five scoreless innings, with nine strikeouts.
SATURDAY, APRIL 20
Galway won the Maple Hill tournament, beating Voorheesville 12-7 in 10 innings, and then defeating Maple Hill 12-3. In the Voorheesville game, Courtney Smith had a double, two singles and three RBIs, and Abby Gullet had three singles and two RBIs. Tournament MVP Amber Kolpakas doubled and singled and also struck out nine in 5 1-3 innings of relief, and Kiera Allen had a double and two RBIs. Bridey Flint added two singles.
In the Maple Hill game, Kolpakas struck out 17. Allen and DeRidder had three hits each. Eva Anderson had a single and three RBIs. Smith was named to the all-tournament team.
Voorheesville topped Warrensburg 8-2 in the consolation. Savannah Schmidt struck out eight to earn the win and also hit a double at the plate. Ava Tabakian and Maddy Tabakian both tripled.
Abbey Milazzo homered, doubled, singled and drove in four runs to lead Ichabod Crane to a 15-0 Colonial Council win over Cohoes. Meredith also homered and had two RBIs; and pitcher Kari Graziano struck out 12 in six innings.
Ballston Spa won twice in its Grand Slam tournament. The Scotties beat South Glens Falls 11-. Abby Stagl had three hits and two RBIs. Natalia Guthrie and Madelyn Perrone each had a double and single, and Guthrie drove in two runs. Carlie Koebbeman and Livia Wiltsie each had two hits.
Ballston Spa then defeated Liverpool 14-1. Guthrie had a double, two singles and four RBIs. Koebbeman had a double and two singles and two RBIs. Carina DeCenzo added a double, single and two RBIs.
Kali Hazzard had a three-run double in OESJ’s 10-5 non-league victory over Gloversville. Hazzard also struck out seven. Liz Wilmont added three singles.
Guilderland topped Chatham 16-11. Laila Smith went 4 for 4 with a home run and eight RBIs to power the Lady Dutch. Abby Warren went 3 for 4 with a home run, two RBIs and a run. Anna Friedman doubled twice and drove in a run for Chatham. Skylar Groom had three RBIs for the Panthers.
In the Greenwich Tournament, Erin Lee and Camron McClurg each had two hits and two RBIs to lead Tamarac to a 13-1 win over Greenwich. Greenwich beat Queensbury 4-3 as Julie Nolan had two hits and two RBIs. Ella Celani also had two hits. For Queensbury, Caleigh Johnson was 3 for 3 with two RBIs, and Lindsey Pepe was 2 for 2.
Averill Park shut out Maine-Endwell 10-0. Madelyn Charron doubled and drove in two. Natalia Mancino went 2 for 4 with three RBIs and a run.
FRIDAY, APRIL 19
Bella Donzelli went 4 for 5 with a triple and two doubles, and Schoharie collected 24 hits and seven stolen bases in a 22-5 Western Athletic Conference win over Middleburgh. Kayla Hayes led the Storm with four RBIs in the five-inning tilt.
Ellana Dineen had a double, single and four RBIs, Harper Huckand had two doubles and two RBIs and Scout Huckand went 3 for 4 with two RBIs to lift Fonda-Fultonville over OESJ 15-3 in a five-inning WAC game. Emily Furnare added two hits and an RBI for Fonda-Fultonville.
Gabby Wendelken pitched a five-inning no-hitter with nine strikeouts, and Makayla Walsh drove in five runs with three doubles as Ichabod Crane beat Lansingburgh 23-0 in the Colonial Council. Ava Heffner homered and drove in three runs, and Emma Holmberg and Wendelken also had three RBIs.
Ava Quenneville's two-run single gave Mohonasen a 9-7 walk-off victory over Voorheesville. Kate Leclerc, Kelsey Stickney, Abby Quenneville and Ava Quenneville each had two hits for Mohonasen.
Laila Smith had two hits and two RBIs, and Meghan Paul had two hits and two runs scored in Guilderland’s 5-1 Suburban Council win over Troy. Olivia Ashline’s RBI single in the first stood up for Troy until Guilderland scored two in the fifth and three in the sixth.
Hadley Donnelly, Livia Wiltsie and Lyla Moryl combined on a five-inning no-hitter, Madelyn Perrone had a home run, single and two RBIs and Carlie Koebbeman had a double among three hits as Ballston Spa downed Bethlehem 12-0. Calleigh Sisk had two doubles and two RBIs for the Scotties, and Natalia Guthrie had a double and three RBIs.
Jackie Cutting pitched a two-hitter with eight strikeouts and hit an RBI triple in a 9-0 Saratoga Springs win over Averill Park. Emily Rusco had three hits, and Nia Law had a double and two RBI for the Blue Streaks.
Natalia Colone had a triple, an RBI and two runs scored for Shenendehowa in a 3-0 win over Columbia. Emily Markowski and Morgan Smith also knocked in runs for Shenendehowa, and Bre Hayes gave up three hits and struck out 11 in going the distance.
Maddy Curley went 2 for 3 with a double and two RBI, and Greenwich rallied from a 6-4 deficit to beat Saratoga Catholic 13-10 in the Wasaren League. Lexi Jansen had a double and an RBI for the Witches, who bunched nine runs in the fifth and sixth innings to go up 13-6. Grace Schaefer had three hits and an RBI for the Saints, and Paige Bujno had two hits and two RBIs.
Molly Gardner had a home run and double among Greenville’s 13 hits, and the Spartans beat Germantown 15-8 in the Patroon Conference.
THURSDAY, APRIL 18
The Albany High School softball team had a walk-off 7-6 non-league victory over Albany Academy on Thursday in the bottom of the seventh. Lucy Lembo had two hits and scored two runs for the Falcons, while Laila Baum had three hits and scored two runs. Teagan Moran collected three hits for the Bears.
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 17
Hannah Hipwell gave up three hits, doubled, drove in two runs and scored another for Shaker in a 4-0 Suburban Council win over Ballston Spa. Tatum Passonno and Ruby Szemplinski both added two hits for the Blue Bison.
Natalie Colone went 3 for 4 with a home run, double and two RBIs, and Kayla Kean had a double and three RBIs to spark Shenendehowa’s 13-0 win over Averill Park. Morgan Smith pitched a four-hitter for Shenendehowa, and Ava Margosian had two of the Plainsmen’s six doubles. Averill Park’s Mia Lucey went 3 for 3 with a triple.
Mya Parkinson pitched a one-hitter with 15 strikeouts, and Olivia Clarke had a hit, two RBIs and a run scored in Columbia’s 8-0 win over Saratoga Springs. Parkinson also had a sacrifice fly for Columbia, now 5-0 in the SC.
Lauren Matthews gave up five hits and two runs over six innings, and knocked in five runs with a double and single to lift Troy over Albany 9-4. Troy scored all of its runs in the fourth and fifth innings after falling behind 1-0. Addy Harkin and Vanessa Quinn both had a double and single for the Flying Horses, and Olivia Ashline and Katie Pryor both had two hits and two runs scored. Lucy Lembo had a hit and three RBIs for Albany.
Mayfield scored three runs in the top of the seventh inning and Duanesburg answered with three in the home half to pull out a 4-3 Western Athletic Conference win. Shannon Zink and Victoria Silva both had a hit and an RBI, and Harlee Manus scored two runs, for the Eagles. Abbey Rhodes has two hits and an RBI for the Panthers.
Sydney Hazzard had a double and two RBIs, Taylor Hayes had two hits and two runs scored, and Kali Hazzard earned the pitching decision in OESJ’s 7-5 win over Schoharie.
Allison Mienaltowski pitched a three-hitter with 13 strikeouts, and Victoria Silva went 3 for 3 with a double and four RBI to propel Duanesburg past Fonda-Fultonville 11-1. Grace Furnare doubled for Fonda-Fultonville and scored on a Kamryn Walton hit.
Galway beat Fonda-Fultonville 12-1 behind Amber Kolpakas’ one-hit, nine-strikeout pitching over five innings.
Ichabod Crane collected 22 hits and scored 11 runs in the third inning as part of a 32-3 Colonial Council win over Voorheesville. Seven Riders had multiple hits led by Abbey Milazzo, who went 5 for 6 with a homer, four RBIs and four runs scored.
Natalia Devine had two home runs, a triple and seven RBIs, and Malia Rafferty homered and totaled three RBIs for Schalmont in a 20-1 victory over Lansingburgh. Ava Papienuk had three hits, four RBIs and four runs scored in Schalmont’s fifth straight win to start the season. Taylor Moran homered for the Knights.to tie the game at one in the first inning, and the Sabres scored 19 runs spanning the third, fourth and fifth innings.
Jade Maille and Sierra Vanderwalker homered in South Glens Falls’ 15-4 Foothills Council win over Broadalbin-Perth. Skylar Eglin had a triple for the Patriots, who trailed 4-3 before the Bulldogs put up four runs in the fourth inning.
TUESDAY, APRIL 16
Guilderland topped Averill Park 5-0 in Suburban Council action. Meghan Paul singled, doubled, tripled, drove in a run and scored for Guilderland. Hallie Czajka went 2 for 3 with two RBIs and a run. Natalia Mancino went 2 for 3 for Averill Park.
Saratoga Springs defeated Albany 18-4. Natalie Conroy had three singles and four RBIs to lead the Blue Streaks. Makenna Olszweski added three singles. Laila Baum homered and had two singles to lead Albany.
Shenendehowa got 11 strikeouts from Bre Hayes in its 5-3 win over Colonie. Morgan Smith helped lead the Plainsmen offensively by going 2 for 3 with an RBI. Bre Hayes drove in two, and Natalia Colone went 2 for 4 with two runs. Gianna Degonza went 2 for 3 with a double and two RBIs to lead Colonie.
In the Patroon Conference, Coxsackie-Athens earned a mercy-rule 25-9 win over Hudson. Avery Conrad led C-A by going 3 for 4 with a double, four RBIs and four runs. Leah Walker and Kasey Purdy each added two hits and four RBIs. Ashley Harp went 2 for 3 with a double and two RBIs to lead Hudson.
Maddy Camadine and Halle Feldman combined to no-hit Germantown in Maple Hill’s 17-0 five-inning victory. Faiel Glasheen-Haase went 3 for 3 with three RBIs and three runs, while Oliva Mueller belted two doubles, drove in three and scored three times. Sophia Mueller had a double, triple and two RBIs.
In Colonial Council action, Lansingburgh shut out Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk 16-0 behind Guiliana Patregnani’s no-hitter with 14 strikeouts.
Natalia Devine had three singles, including the game-winning RBI single with two outs to keep Schalmont (4-0) undefeated with a 4-3 win over Cohoes. Malia Rafferty added a double and RBI, while Brooke Howlan struck out seven to earn the pitching win.
Galway downed Fort Plain 26-7 in Western Athletic Conference action. Bridey Flint had a grand slam and a single, driving in six runs and scoring four to lead the Golden Eagles. Lilly Frederick added three hits.
Mayfield scored all its runs in the first three innings in a 7-2 victory over Canajoharie. Kaylee Klymkow struck out 12 in the win, while also hitting three singles and scoring twice. Aubrey Byrnes had two singles and four RBIs. Maya Rohling added two singles and two runs for Mayfield (3-0, 6-1). For Canajoharie, Megan Blakeslee had two singles, with Alex Bernardo singling and scoring a run.
In the Wasaren League, Mechanicville rallied from losing 12-3 to nip Emma Willard 14-13. Bri Blake led Mechanicville by going 4 for 4. Emma Lapierre and Addison Pane each added three hits. Paige Rogers pitched five innings of one-hit ball. Alice Wang led the Jesters with three hits, while Emma O’Donnell had two.
MONDAY, APRIL 15
Ballston Spa scored seven unanswered runs to complete a comeback against Saratoga Springs in a Suburban Council matchup on Monday afternoon. The Scotties picked up a 7-4 win behind a three-hit day from Carlie Koebbeman, who had a single, double, home run and two RBIs. Hadley Donnelly allowed two earned runs and struck out eight over seven innings of work for the Scotties. Saratoga Springs’ pitcher Jackie Cutting was charged with five unearned runs in five innings of work, striking out nine.
Colonie defeated Guilderland 5-4, scoring all five runs between the fourth and fifth innings to mount a comeback. Ava Sillings was 1-for-3 with two RBIs for Colonie.
Columbia topped Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake 4-2, as Sophia Galligan hit a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth, Stella Guzek tossed a complete game with two earned runs and 15 strikeouts.
Troy completed a comeback to top Shaker in a tight 3-2 contest. Hannah Hipwell hit a two-run home for Shaker, while Lauren Matthews went a complete seven innings in the circle for the Flying Horses. Additionally for Troy, Gianna Baringer had a two RBI single and Gabby Hanson was 1-for2- with a RBI.
Shenendehowa mercy-ruled Schenectady 17-0 in five innings, as Sarah MacFarlane tossed a perfect game. She did not allow a baserunner over those five innings, as she racked up 11 strikeouts. Hailey Farquharson collected three hits, including a double and three RBIs. Ava Margosian and Ashleigh Thayer each collected two hits, and Izzy Mueller had a double and two RBIs.
Bethlehem used a late surge to take a 13-2 lead over Albany, as Stella Apuzzi collected four hits in four at bats, for the Eagles.
Mechanicville earned a 19-1 victory over Berlin/New Lebanon in Wasaren League action on Saturday, as Paige Rogers and Jenna Tesoriero combined on one-hitter, with Rogers contributing 4 RBI. Lila Christensen and Bri Blake each had three hits and Addison Pane and Paige Rogers each had two RBIs.
Cohoes defeated Lansingburgh 9-0 in Colonial Council action. Riley Heighes tossed a complete game shutout, allowing five hits and one walk, with 11 strikeouts. She was also 1-for-3 with two RBIs and two stolen bases. Lansingburgh pitcher Gianna Patreghani went four innings and allowed one hit while striking out eight.
Schalmont took down Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk 14-4, as Libby Trestick had a triple and three RBIs, and Natalia Devine had a double and three RBIs. Marissa Phillips went the distance in the circle, allowing four hits and striking out five.
Gianna Memrick collected a double and two singles, as Canajoharie defeated Middleburgh 14-3 in Western Athletic Conference action.
Mayfield topped Fort Plain 12-1, as Kaylee Klymkow had two singles, a triple, three runs scored and compiled 13 strikeouts in the circle for Mayfield. Aubrey Byrns and Maya Rohling each had two hits in the contest, and Arianna Ruberti had a triple and RBI. For Fort Plain, Kadence David had a base hit and run scored.
Mohonasen held on to defeat Niskayuna 3-1 in a non-league matchup. Savannah Hunter allowed one unearned run over four innings for Mohonasen, as Alyssa Albanese came on to save the final three innings. Ava Diamante collected two hits, and Kate Leclerc had a double and RBI.
SATURDAY, APRIL 13
Taylor Schoonmaker had a triple among her three hits to lead Averill Park to a 6-3 Suburban Council win over Ballston Spa. Natalia Mancino went 2-3, with a triple, and three RBIs for Averill Park.
Shaker defeated Albany 12-3. Ruby Szemplinski homered and drove in two runs for the Blue Bison. Tatum Passonno doubled, singled and drove in three. Kyleigh Stumon doubled and drove in two to lead Albany.
Mia Dubben struck out 10, and Brin Whiteman had a double and two singles as Cherry Valley-Springfield/Sharon Springs defeated OESJ 7-6 in non-league games. Maddie Simonds, Sydney Hazzard, and Hadley Crannell had run-scoring hits for OESJ.
Shenendehowa and Guilderland won a pair of non-league games against Monroe-Woodbury and Orchard Park.
Shenendehowa edged Monroe-Woodbury 4-3 on Sarah MacFarlane’s game-winning double. Ella Kean had two hits for Shenendehowa, which then beat Orchard Park 4-0. MacFarlane and Bre Hayes each had an RBI. Hayes and Morgan Smith combined on a three-hitter.
Guilderland beat Orchard Park 7-1. Alyssa Griffin homered and drove in two runs, Lily Durivage and Meghan Paul had a double and single each and Laila Smith had two RBIs.
Guilderland defeated Monroe-Woodbury 5-3. Paul had a triple, double and single and two RBIs, Leah Miller had two doubles and Smith had a double and single.
Saratoga Central Catholic won its inaugural Maryelen Alice Schaefer Memorial Tournament, topping Corinth 6-2 and Maple Hill 6-3. Against Corinth, Hailey Ogniewski struck out 10 and allowed just three hits. Grace Schaefer went 4 for 4 with a double, triple and two RBIs. Zoey Davis went 3 for 3 with two RBIs. Against Maple Hill, Zoey Davis drove in three runs, Paige Bujno went 2 for 3 with a double and two runs, while Ogniewski had a strikeout in relief and was named the tournament MVP.
FRIDAY, APRIL 12
Genna Rickert pitched a no-hitter, striking out 10 in five innings, as Duanesburg defeated OESJ 23-0 in the Western Athletic Conference.
Allison Mienaltowski hit a three-run home run for 3-0 Duanesburg.
THURSDAY, APRIL 11
Guilderland defeated Niskayuna 13-1 in the Suburban Council, as Abigail Warren had two singles and two RBIs and scored three runs and Hallie Czajka drove in three runs on a double and a single for Guilderland. Leah Miller had a double and two RBIs, and Lily Durivage had two singles for Guilderland.
Madalyn Isabelle went 3 for 3 for Niskayuna, and CJ Gibson hit two singles.
Shenendehowa picked up a non-league win over Queensbury 12-0.
Ava Barnhart went 3 for 3 with a double for Shenendehowa, Reagan Young had two doubles and two RBIs, and Ella Kean and Hailey Farquharson each had a double and a single.
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 10
Duanesburg overcame a 3-0 deficit after the first inning to defeat Galway 7-4 in the Western Athletic Conference.
Victoria Silva was 2 for 4 for Duanesburg, Hailey Davis had a double and two RBIs and Harlee Manus hit a double. Amber Kolpakas had two doubles for Galway.
TUESDAY, APRIL 9
Natalia Colone went 3-for-5 with a home run, triple, double and six RBIs as Shenendehowa defeated Troy 16-4 in the Suburban Council. Ella Kean went 2-for-4 with three RBIs for Shenendehowa, and Morgan Smith and Sarah MacFarlane also had two hits each.
Albany took a 6-0 lead with five runs in the bottom of the third inning and held on for a 6-4 win over Niskayuna in the Suburban Council. Monet DeJesus went 3-for-3 with two doubles, a triple and three RBIs for the Falcons. CJ Gibson hit a triple and drove in three runs in the top of the seventh for Niskayuna.Â
Teagan Kreshik drove in all three runs for Columbia as the Blue Devils got past Colonie 3-1 to improve to 3-0. Jocelyn Galligan had a double and scored two runs for Columbia.
Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake blanked Averill Park 6-0.
Paige Rogers struck out 10 and threw a five-hitter as Mechanicville topped Greenwich 7-3 in the Wasaren League. Addison Pane hit two doubles for Mechanicville, Kendall Buechner had a double and a single and Bri Blake hit a double. Mya Saunders ad two RBIs for the Witches, and Alexa Jansen had two hits.
Erin Lee struck out eight batters in five innings, and Mihaly Blake was 2-for-3 with two RBIs to lead Tamarac to a 12-0 victory over Cambridge.Â
In the Foothills Council, Skylar Eglin hit a grand slam as part of Broadalbin-Perth's 18-1 five-inning win over Johnstown in the Foothills Council. Eglin also doubled and finished with seven RBIs. Adrianna Smith added three singles and three RBIs, while Shaelyn Kanches struck out six in the victory and also doubled.
In the Colonial Council, Schalmont edged Holy Trinity 3-2. Natalia Devine had the go-ahead RBI in the top of the seventh inning. Malia Rafferty had a triple, single, RBI and a run. Brooke Howlan struck out five in the win.
In the Western Athletic Conference, Mayfield defeated Fonda-Fultonville 21-7. Maizy Saunders led Mayfield by going 3 for 5 with two singles, a triple and three runs. Alexis Broderick went 2 for 2 with a double, triple, two RBIs and a run. Scout Huckans was a perfect 3 for 3 to lead Fonda, rapping a single, double and triple, knocking in two and scoring once. Sigourney Myles added two singles, a run and a stolen base.
In the Patroon Conference, Chatham blanked Maple Hill 22-0, as Skylar Groom hit a grand slam, Anna Friedman went 3-for-3 with two RBIs, Emily Scheriff hit a home run and Addi Perry had a double and two RBIs for Chatham.Â
Coxsackie-Athens edged Taconic Hills 17-16, led by Riley Sitcer, who was 4-for-4 with two triples and four RBIs.
Lansingburgh defeated Germantown in a non-league game 13-1 Kyleigh Wilmott went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs for the Knights, Guiliana Patregnani had a double, single and two RBIs and threw a two-hitter, and Taylor Moran hit a double.
MONDAY, APRIL 8
Columbia picked up a 2-1 Suburban Council victory over Shaker on Monday. Mya Parkinson led the way in the circle for Columbia with 15 strikeouts in the complete game, allowing just two hits and two walks. She also collected two doubles, as well as the game winning RBI in the bottom of the fifth.
Guilderland defeated Bethlehem 6-1, as Lauren Lamme did not allow an earned run inside the circle for the Lady Dutch. Laila Smith hit a home run for Guilderland, and Alyssa Griffin, Liza Mannarino, and Abigail Warren all collected two hits. Kaylin Heffern was 2-for-3 with a double for Bethlehem.
Cohoes defeated Albany Academy 14-1 via the mercy rule in Colonial Council action, as Riley Heighes struck out 12 over five innings for the Tigers. She allowed just one hit, while going 3-for-4 with two doubles and five RBIs at the plate. Sydney Hunt was 3-for-3 with a triple and three runs, and Hailey Van Bramer 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs.
SUNDAY, APRIL 7
At the Disabled American Veterans Tournament in Mudville, Mayfield swept a pair of games, 7-0 over Copenhagen and 6-3 over Avoca-Prattsburgh.
Alexis Broderick had a single, double and two runs against Copenhagen. Kaylee Klymkow singled twice and had an RBI, while Arianna Ruberti doubled and had two RBIs. Maya Rohling had a single and RBI. Against Avoca-Prattsburgh, Klymkow struck out eight and added a single and a run to be named MVP. Maizy Saunders had a single and two RBIs, while Aubrey Byrns had two singles and two runs.
SATURDAY, APRIL 6
In the Wasaren League, Saratoga Central Catholic beat Hoosic Valley 12-5. Ryan McDonald led the Saints by going 3 for 5 with two doubles, a triple, four RBIs and three runs. Freshman Grace Schaefer went 3 for 4 with two doubles, two RBIs and three runs, and also picked up the pitching win with eight strikeouts in four innings.
Averill Park swept a non-league doubleheader, topping Saugerties 6-1 and Pine Bush 10-8.
TUESDAY, APRIL 2
Ballston Spa came away with a 10-1 Suburban Council win over Troy on Tuesday, as Hadley Donnelly allowed five hits and one run over the complete seven innings. She recorded six strikeouts, and two walks. Natalia Guthrie went 2-for-4 with a double, home run and three RBIs. Livia Wiltsie was 3-for-3 with two doubles and two RBIs. Calleigh Sisk was 3-for-4 with two RBIs for the Scotties. Troy’s Kaylee Kussler collected two hits.
Saratoga Springs picked up a 9-2 win over Niskayuna, with Jackie Cutting striking out 13 in a complete game inside the circle for the Blue Streaks. Cutting also went 2-for-4 at the plate, scoring three runs. In her varsity debut, eighth-grader Emily Ruscio went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs.
Hannah Hipwell propelled Shaker past Averill Park with a walkoff single in the bottom of the seventh, giving the Blue Bison a 5-4 victory. Hipwell also tossed a complete game for Shaker, allowing three earned runs, with seven strikeouts. At the plate, she was 3-for-4 with two RBIs. Averill Park’s Natalia Mancino was 3-for-4 with a double, triple and two RBIs.
Guilderland topped Albany 5-1, as Alyssa Griffin hit a 3-run home run. Meghan Paul, Laila Smith and Abby Warren each had two hits for Guilderland.

Hoosick Falls defeated Mohonasen 3-1 in non-league action. Kennedy Boisvert recorded 12 strikeouts in the complete game win, allowing just one run on six hits. Izabella Stefanovich went 2-for-3 with a home run for Hoosick Falls. Maritza Gonzalez and Danyella Bradley each collected two hits for Mohonasen.
Broadalbin-Perth cruised to a 17-7 win over Coxsackie-Athens, as Adrianna Smith had a double and three RBIs, and Skylar Eglin had a double and two RBIs. Camille Calderone scored four runs for the Patriots, and Shaelyn Kanches struck out six in the complete game. Riley Sitcer had a double and two RBIs for Coxsackie-Athens.
MONDAY, APRIL 1
Coxsackie-Athens cruised to a 14-2 mercy-rule win over Watervliet in non-league action. Julia Grounds and Avery Conrad combined for a five-inning n0-hitter. Bella Bushane went 4-for-4 with two doubles and four RBIs, while Riley Sitcer was 2-for-3 with a home run, and Conrad was 3–for-4, including a triple.
Albany triumphed over Mohonasen 9-8 in an 11-inning battle that was ended by a walk-off single. In the top of the seventh inning, Mohonasen scored 4 runs to take the lead, but Albany answered back with two runs to tie the game. Both teams scored a run in the 10th inning, before Albany won it in the 11th.
