There is no defending a criminals actions, when they resist arrest, attack a policeman or fail to follow simple instructions they are asking for attention. To defend criminals because they are black is a non-starter. If cops were killing innocents the grand jury would not be letting them off. Lets protest Obama he IS wrong and lets thank the officers for doing their jobs, just like they are TRAINED to do!

Adkman, a 'jury of your peers' does not mean thugs get to judge other thugs.

don't worry Hill, Rev. Al never lets little things like facts sway his opinion. The black culture has a ton of problems that need to be addressed within the community. But they don't let that get in the way of blaming all their ills on white people.

Let's not throw the facts out the window to be politically correct. 93% of all black murders are black on black crimes. Where are the protests and outrage for those crimes? Does "black lives matter" only apply if a white is involved? It appears the protests are racially motivated. If the grand jury found that Michael Brown was fatally shot while struggling for the cop's gun, why the slogan "hands up, don't shoot"? Rev. Al, don't let a little item like the truth get in you way.

The problem isn't that police kill black people, it is that grand juries almost always set them free. Therein lies the outrage. If bad cops were held accountable, there would be less killing and no protests. Out of all of the blacks killed by police recently, the only cop indicted for homocide was the one who shot the 12 year old with the bb gun.

Please offer an example of someone that was doing exactly as they were told, being shot, tased or beaten by police. Personally, I support police on scum beatings.

It wasn't about selling 'loosies', it's about not complying with an Officers request. In both recent cases the results of their ingrained hatred for the Police, entitlement mentality and refusing to adhere to the Law caused their deaths. It appears there was a 'referee' at this match, a black female Police Sgt. who let it continue to the end.

Moderation, I have to disagree with your assessment of the police. Most cops are as honest as the day is long. It is a stressful job and every consideration is given to the idiot who just committed a crime when human nature would be to just punch the perp in the snout. In this day and age of dope dealers with guns, I wouldn't want to walk in a cop's shoes. The Albany chief of police said it best, to paraphrase, If you break the law you'll be arrested no matter what color you are. The President has blown this one. If blacks truly want to be treated equally, let's start by throwing affirmative action out the window and quit spotting minorities points.

The next honest cop I meet will be the first one. Every single cop I know drinks and drives including our Chiefs of police. The trooper who killed the guy in Broadalbin is now a Canjo cop. They're all crooked. Two sets of laws in this country and it has nothing to do with color and has everything to do with rich and poor.

You may not agree with me MrBob51, but don't forget that the Rev Al Sharpton was involved. There will be a civil case.

My complaint is the amount of force used to take down Eric Garner. The wrestling comment stems from watching old matches and "choke holds" used by the wrestlers. The refs would always break up the holds...eventually. Watching the take down of Eric Garner reminded me of the choke hold and how the officer taking him down didn't release the hold or move to a chin lock. Remember what this was all about...selling untaxed cigarettes. If he was that problematic, why wasn't he just tased? The Police are taught to use force necessary and about avoiding choke holds- they can kill. This was out and out Police Macho and I feel way out of proportion to the alleged crime. I realize Mr. Garner was a big guy but my God, was all that necessary? The Officer ended up killing him. It could have been anyone. I don't like that thought.

I'd like to clarify my opinion about that Civil case ForWhichItStands mentioned and why I believe it will never happen..the supervisor at the scene was a black female Police Sgt. who could have stopped it but didn't. WHY? She will never be deposed to answer that question, 'black' 'female' and the resulting bad narrative trumps Police. Hung by their own petard, again!

If you agree with Hill then what is it you agree with and what's the rest of that crap about? Since when are blacks exempt from resisting arrest? Whites aren't are they? Violence breeds violence? It sure does! You're referring of course to black-on-black murder/violence plaguing Democrat run Cities??? Don't hold your breath waiting for a Civil case either.

Great point Hill. Consider that if it was the black-female Sgt. (who was watching) who took this guy down, it would just be another non-story. There's a much bigger problem here because it does not matter what facts are, to the liberal lynch-mob the narrative and ONLY the narrative is far more important than the truth. We are seeing this played out across America; Ferguson, Staten Island, UVA all being the most recent. The Cambridge Professor, Duke LaCross team, Twana Brawley. It doesn't matter that they were wrong in EVERY instance. The liberal narrative has been and, unless these race-whores are stopped, will continue to be 'White men are racist, rapists and the Police are evil'...except when they need them.

I agree with Hilltopper. If that was not an overly aggressive action, I don't know what was. I've seen wrestlers less aggressive than that...over cigarette sales...you would think he was a mass murderer. Should have just written him a ticket. Totally unnecessary.

I am waiting for the Civil case for that one. It should be worth at least the Cop's badge and several million dollars.

When the police act worse than the "bad guys", something is wrong. Violence breeds violence.

Yes, and all cases involving alleged wrong doing by a police officer should be pursued by federal prosecutors to avoid the appearance of favoritism in a local court where the DA and police agency has a close working relationship. What good did the camera do Eric Garner?

After considering the pluses and minuses, I would say that cameras would largely exonerate a police force doing its duty by protecting the public. It would also protect them from false and scurrilous allegations by individuals trying to save themselves from legitimate arrest and illegitimately profiting from ensuing lawsuits.

TOT, Big Brother is already watching. A lot of those you mentioned are already under the camera for a variety of reasons including cya. That said, whites don't have a 'police problem'...blacks do. They have been brought up to despise authority of any kind and it's glaringly obvious. Wearing body cameras will show beyond a doubt the virulent racism in the black community that nobody wants to talk about. Ok, a picture doesn't lie like all those blacks did to the Grand Jury and speaks a thousand words of truth..absolutely use them. By the way, where are all the charges for the bald-faced lies told to the GJ?? You can bet if whitey lied like that they'd already be doing time.

Police should not have to have them! But with the criminals all entraping them with their own video's I believe that it will become an essential tool for their own defense! If policemen are mandated to wear them maybe we should all be filmed preforming our jobs. Doctors, nurses, judges, maids right down to a mechanic. It does fit the PROGRESSIVE mindset!
