It's a waste of time. Boehner has no standing. Any Judge worth their salt will explain that the Courts will not do that which he has the Constitutional right to do himself..but not the balls to do; defund Obamacare. First both Democrat and Republican progressives relinquish their power to the Executive Branch, now they try to give up MORE of their power to the Judicial Branch. Congress need a serious airing-out.

I agree with MrBob. Sue him for what? He's done nothing illegal, only worked within the bounds of the duties of his office.

Defunding the Affordable Care Act would be about as popular as defunding social security and Medicare. It would be political suicide.

ADKman, "He's done nothing illegal" ??? REALLY????? This is the most corrupt administration in the history of the country. But sue him?? To what end??? Impeach him and put him on trial for treason and high crimes against the US of A. Then either jail or a firing squad.

Please detail the illegal things the president has done while in office. And the high crimes and the acts of treason. Be specific. Because in case you haven't noticed, we are a country that loves to go to court. I'm sure someone, somewhere would be happy to throw an indictment or a lawsuit together and try to make a name for himself. The fact that you don't like it doesn't make it illegal.

This is John Boehner attempt to satisfy the conservatives insistence that he does something. He should be looking to impeach him but does not possess the backbone to do what is right. Obama is one branch of the 3 branches of our government he does not have the authority to go it alone writing policy, he can request changes and can SIGN the changes but he cannot use his phone and pen to wipe out our constitution and laws. If he does as he says he will do with immigration and executive orders a grand plan, that alone should send him packing. He does not respect our constitution, our laws or our countries established ways of governing. I hope that we survive the two remaining years of liberal policies that this partisan president has left.

BF1, why don't you do some research before you try to excuse Obama? You have a habit of issuing spurious challenges just to be contrary but I'll play along....1) Recess Appointments..2) Contraception mandate..3) Bond v United States..4) Yucca Mountain application..4) Authorizing killing of 4 Americans abroad without due process. Shall I go on or have you had enough? You go to prove one thing for sure, Obama knows how to speak to his low information acolytes doesn't he BF1.

Adkman, I am separating fact from fiction. Obama, in at least 12 incidents, has conducted himself illegally and there around 70 documented examples of abuse of power. Check the SCOTUS rulings regarding the illegal acts for yourself. As with other Presidents bad behaviour, this does not rise to the level of High Crimes and Misdemeanors. Suing him is a waste of time and Impeachment talk is a Dem campaign talking point. It only enhances partisanship without cause BUT a lot of Americans, for their own reasons are waking up. Bush, Chaney and Rumsfeld have almost 1800 Lawsuits against them that are going nowhere either. It's all a charade played out by both Parties and far too many Americans are breathlessly trying to out-guess each other all the while ignoring the real answer...the more Govt grows, the harder you will keep guessing. In other words, to quote Admiral Akbar...'IT'S A TRAP'!!!

usedto, BF1 and ADKman - it's what lawyers do. The suit will accomplish nothing, it's a smoke enema. there are only a couple of people in the House with the cajones to start impeachment proceedings. Most of the rest are afraid of their "political standing" and worried about being re-elected. We The People need to vote them all out a time of two to remind them who is in control

Druggy: You better remind me of who is in control. I know it isn't us even though its supposed to be "we the people". Here's a thought for you. I get emails and letters from politicians and the party asking me for a contribution to the campaign. I'm going to send a return letter or email to all those who contacted me and tell them if they want my vote they have to send me $50 and I'm not contributing a dime. Think it will work?

good dea Hill, but don't let that $50 be the deciding factor in giving up your vote. Better to ask them pertinent questions - like - How about doing away with government pensions for elected people??? or - As long as this is really a part time job, how much do you really expect to be paid on a per day basis???? You will be spending your own money for travel to Albany/Washington, right???? Will you be following the advice of your constituents as our representative???

It's time to take it all back.

Recess appointments aren't illegal. They have always been part of our political system. The SCOTUS deemed a few appointments rebuke worthy due to the timing; not the same as illegal. The contraception mandate decision by SCOTUS didn't deem anything illegal, let alone anything the president did or didn't do. It just said certain companies are exempt from the mandate. Bond v. US concerns Congress's treaty powers. Where is all this rampant lawlessness some posters keep referring to?

BF1, you have plainly ODed on Barry's Koolade and are beyond help."The SCOTUS deemed a few appointments rebuke worthy due to the timing; not the same as illegal" ????? Really???? I'll try that the next time I get caught speeding. I'll tell the judge that it was a matter of bad timing on my part that the officer was in the area at the time. I'm sure he will see the obvious error on the officers part. IF those appointments were 100% legal they would have stood.

Barry needs some jail time

You are confusing "illegal" and "unconstitutional" - they are not interchangable. SCOTUS opined that a couple of the recess appointments were unconstitutional - not the same as illegal.

BF1, like just about everything you post, you're 100% wrong regarding Bond v US, you don't know what you're talking about my friend. Your lame attempt at parsing words is laughable..and you claim you were a teacher?? Pathetic. As I said, Obama knows how to talk to his horde of uninformed followers but don't you try that silly lib-speak on me, it will never work. Either find some facts to debate or just run along, be a good lib and find some victims to suppress. (There are not many here).

So... no comments on the recent House Intelligence Committee, led by Republicans, that found no wrongdoing by the Obama administration concerning Benghazi? There were no stand down orders given, no intelligence of an impending attack, and even some evidence that some of the demonstrators were protesting that anti-Muslim video. Once again, it seems, you righties were wrong.

This worthless attempt will cost MILLIONS of taxpayers dollars....If that's the route republicans want to take, why not have them pay for this nonsense out of their pockets? A HUGE waste of money by the right and Drugs is all in favor of this.

ADKman, I Googled your report, seems that MSNBC was the most reliable source to report on it even as they spun it out exaggerating everything. I will wait for the truth, not a spun out leftist theory.

The House Intelligence Committee is among the many congressional panels to investigate the deadly attack on the U.S. outpost in Benghazi in 2012, and its findings are reportedly complete. The committee’s report is not yet available, but Rep. Mike Thompson (D-Calif.) talked to the San Francisco Chronicle about the results of the inquiry.
