court of rewrite the law. It will have to come from the senate and the house, it will have to pass both houses and the president must then sign it into law. The Obama pen cannot alter the wording either. It MUST come from congress. What way do you expect that the House of Reps would vote on this revision? Right, not a chance. The house has passed HUNDREDS of bills and Harry Reid will not even give them a chance to bring them to a vote on the senate floor... and you believe them when they call republicans obstructionists? That from the most partisan divisive and nontransparent party ever!

tot...this is beautiful, your own words come back to haunt you!...I quote from your post.."Only state run exchanges can offer subsidies...., federal exchanges cannot." The court of appeals unanomously overturned that!! You might gain at least an iota of respect if you admitted your error, but no, you choose instead to babble about the liberal left rather than own up to your mistake.

LAKER TAKE OFF THE BLINDERS I do not care what the liberal left declares they wrote it this way and it is going to destroy itself. When you REFUSE to compromise even an iota you are destined to fail.

There can be no doubt, based on his record, that Gruber is a supporter of the law. He says so in the presentation. "I’m biased, I’m in favor of this type of law, I won’t hide that," he says. He also explains early on that his entire presentation is made of "verifiable objective facts."

And what he says is exactly what challengers to the administration’s implementation of the law have been arguing—that if a state chooses not to establish its own exchange, then residents of those states will not be able to access Obamacare's health insurance tax credits. He says this in response to a question asking whether the federal government will step in if a state chooses not to build its own exchange. Gruber describes the possibility that states won’t enact their own exchanges as one of the potential "threats" to the law. He says this with confidence and certainty, and at no other point in the presentation does he contradict the statement in question.

laker, check with the MDs on what the plan pays and ask why they are not on it. Kind of like at the tow company - a $100K truck doesn't go out on a tow for $50

Tot...For once don't let your hatred of Obama blind you to the facts...the 4th US circuit court of appeals voted UNANOMOUSLY to uphold Federal exchanges offering subsidies. Also, I will try again to tell you that per CBO, I'm not forming an opinion on Obamacare until the pic is clearer re ins rates and #'s of uninsured....You're only interested in looking at it as a defeat for Obama.

Hilltopper, there is not a candidate on earth that is beyond reproach. You could put forth the purest soul in the country but the press that is on the liberal side would lie cheat and twist that purity into looking like the devil's black heart. It is not the quality of the opponent it is the political affiliation here in NYS!

Laker you are still on the wrong page. It was written by democrats and now they are eating the mistake ridden bill that they wrote. Mistake after mistake and now they are going to pay for the ram and jam. Really go look it up, do not look any worse before you get the facts. Only STATE RUN exchanges are allowed to offer the subsidies. NOT THE FEDERAL EXCHANGE. THAT IS HOW IT WAS WRITTEN IN THE BILL! That is what this ruling was all about.

Drugs, Trying to fix our broken health care system goes back to even before Reagan. My post not only addresses yet another falsehood by tot, I'm saying that it is ludicrous to try and judge Obamacare at this point. And what in the world are you talking about "working for nothing."???

laker, with all the MDs and other medical people and facilities NOT wanting to work for practically nothing, and all the negative press, it is hard to believe that there are those who still think that the free ride will work. It is also kind of funny now that in 1986 when Ronald Reagan stated that health care costs have outpaced inflation by 25 times, there was no outrage then.

It's all part of "fundamentally changing the US of A" that the boy king Barry said he would do.

The founders would be low on ammo by now

Wrong tot...the 4th US Circuit Court of appeals ruled that Federal Exhanges CAN offer subsidies. Even though that is a good thing, I'm willing to bet you're not happy it happened. If you can sit down and listen a sec....at this point I'm neither for or against Obamacare since it is way too early to judge it. It is you who have the blinders on...and it's actually sad that you don't want it to work. Going to websites and cherry picking certain facts is a waste of time. I prefer to take the advice of the CBO and wait to see if rates stabilize and how much the uninsured #'s are reduced.

Since the republicans can't beat Cuomo their only hope is for Cuomo to beat himself. And, Cuomo's self-serving muzzling of the Moreland Commission should have provided such an opportunity. Now the choice is a democrat governor who is unethical or a republican light weight candidate who appears just as unethical when it comes to running Westchester. Too bad the republican couldn't find a nominee who is beyond reproach, someone capable of seizing this opportunity to oust Cuomo. Even Chris Christie calls Astorino a hopeless cause and won't support him. New Yorkers deserve better than either one of these candidates.

Eighteen percent of Americans, or fewer than one in five, say they or someone in their family is better off because of the Affordable Care Act, according to a new poll by CNN. Nearly twice that number, 35 percent, say they or someone in their family is worse off. In nearly all demographic categories — age, income, education, etc. — more people say they are worse off because of Obamacare than say they are better off.

Laker, the line in question in the Obamacare decisions is SIMPLY that only STATE run exchanges can offer subsidies to those qualified to receive them, federal exchanges cannot. It was written by DEMOCRATS. It was written that way they because in their infinite wisdom they thought that it forced states to set up their own exchange. They surprisingly were WRONG once again. It is their words that may bring it down, it was their haste and propensity to do it their own one sided way that got them into this predicament. I believe that they will get what they gave... a ram job.

Drugs, Try telling that to people who were laid off from their jobs and couldn't get health ins. Tell that to people who had a pre-existing condition and were denied health ins. It's way beyond getting something for nothing, which is a typical rightie comeback.

well Clue your BFF Barry tried to fix something that wasn't really broken. Were people dying in the streets???? Were people NOT being treated in ERs ???? I'm not saying that the system was perfect. All the libs saw was the free or low cost part with the gov't paying the freight. Forget the fact that it goes against the Constitution in forcing the American public to buy stuff. The Soetoro SCOTUS played the game by deeming it a "tax". The whole thing is a joke.

You are right about one thing laker. I do want the one sided, wasteful careless leftist bill known as Obamacare to crash and burn. It is not worth the paper (that no one read) that it was written on. There are a plethora of ideas that republicans put forward but were swept under the rug by liberals. Do you want to rehash old news? I have posted many times what the republicans put forward and what I got back was name calling. It simply is not worth the time if you do not listen. Like I said, we have told you over and over, you do not see that through your Obama glasses! (or maybe they are blinders... I do not really know as I do not wear them.)

It's obvious clue they can't answer your question. I wonder if Drugs realizes the irony of his response. He says your posts adds nothing, and then he's not even able to answer a question. The CBO says it will take about 2 more years to see if Obamacare is "working". Hmmm, let's see, do we listen to tot and drugs, or to the CBO?? It's obvious that they actually hope it fails. Hey, let me try your question...."What is the GOP solution?"
