Kick the can down the road! Deficits will again top $1 trillion starting in 2022, and be at or above 4% of GDP, according to the CBO. The reason? Revenue will keep pace with economic growth but spending will exceed it. "Spending is boosted by the aging of the population, the expansion of federal subsidies for health insurance, rising health care costs per beneficiary, and mounting interest costs on federal debt," the CBO said.

Strong State of the Union ratings and a busy news week was very good to Fox News Channel last week. For the first time since the week of the Boston Marathon Bombing last April, the channel was No. 1 in cable among primetime viewers. For the week of January 27-February 2, Fox News averaged 2.265 million viewers in prime with a 1.8 household rating. With the exception of some election coverage weeks, this is only the second time Fox News has come in the top spot since 2005... No matter what Liberals say, if you do not want to see it, there is always the remote control to tune in what you want to see. Most people WANT FOX NEWS!

Funny how the President and the rest of his 1% buddies are so quick to spend other peoples money. How about instead, these 1%ers donate their millions to the poor.

It's real easy to say someone is greedy if they have one more dime that you. Is that conditioning or are you just plain greedy yourself?

I am not for or against the raise. I just feel if the big wigs of any company were not so greedy and paid their employees well there wouldn't be a problem. Would not be a need for unions either. After all if it wasn't for the little people selling,or manufacturing their product they would not have a business.

Based on your last 2 comments revolt, you slept through all economics classes and don' know much of History either. Now, would you please translate those comments into something that makes sense so we can get an idea of what the h*ll you're talking about? You mused as to what I did, loan officer, stock adviser...nope, what I became is successful. Ha, shame on me, right?

Obamacare will increase premiums but also... How long do you typically wait to see your doctor?

Well if your physician is in D.C., you will most likely wait about 17 days to schedule an appointment.

A survey of physicians nationwide found the average wait time for a new patient is nearly 19 days.

The longest wait time was in Boston at 72 days and the shortest is in Dallas with 10 days.

I was always a fan of GM, now I would buy one if it were the only US manufacturer.

Druggy: Do you shop at Walmart? If you insist on American made clothing you have to make your own. GM has auto plants in China where they sell more cars than in the US.

well Loyal, keep supporting foreign mfgrs. and then keep wondering where all the jobs went. The last I heard there are 27 foreign auto assembly facilities here in the US. Is that a good thing??? Maybe so for those who are employed there, but the $$ doesn't stay here. A Toyota Corolla should sell for the same here that a Chevy Cruze or Ford Focus sells for in Japan. I try not to even drive foreign scrap. A BMW exec. said to an American engineer when being congratulated on the plant in Ga. " Everybody has their Mexico" They really don't think much of us.

Back to the topic at hand: Australia has a minimum wage of $16.88 with a current unemployment rate of 5.8%, compared to our current 6.7%. They seem to be doing pretty well. The only population that has a high unemployment rate is their youth, which is at 12.7%, compared to the U.S.' 14.1%. Obviously nothing is perfect, but someone needs to be looking out for the working lower and middle classes, and our state and federal politicians are oblivious to the struggles that most of us are having to live with.
