Do you think a 3.5-mile "connector highway" from the Thruway in Fonda to Route 30A in the town of Johnstown would benefit the area?

Yeah g70...and maybe the state can make it a toll road, set up on interstate gas/service/stores/restaurants to sap every last bit of business and money left in the great upstate region! Instead of grow government grow... I say go government go!

I'll try to go faster. How about 4 lanes to Saratoga?

BoB: There are fewer liberals than you think in the T.O.M. The town supervisor, town clerk, highway superintendent and the entire town council are all of the Republican Party. You would be music to the town's ears.

I've been saying we need 2 bypasses , one in Fonda and one in Amsterdam.. I do try to use the back way next to FMCC but there is always a slow poke on that road.. What would be sweet is a 4 lane 55 MPH road from Fonda to Mayfield or further north..

I really do not see anyone "ON TOPIC" I do not believe that anyone remembers the connector highway. But if they do how can you justify the cost of an unnecessary road to nowhere? Now why would a progressive liberal want to single me out when EVERYONE IS OFF TOPIC? I believe she is infatuated with me! Kisses sweetie!

...You're also 100% correct about the RNC. I have a lot of trouble identifying with today's Progressive/Republican party.

Interesting idea Hill, do you think a highly opinionated, polarizing taxed enough already Constitutional individualist such as myself would get support from the progressive 'gimmie' crowd????

ToT - while you are off topic compare this to the Hunt for Obama Bin Laden and how critical libs were of GWB. Here we have an administration that can't seem to find an American Citizen hiding in plain sight. Where is their outrage now???

Now would be an EXCELLENT time for him to use that FLEXIBILITY!

For President Barack Obama, National Security Agency leaker Edward Snowden's globe-trotting evasion of U.S. authorities has dealt a startling setback to efforts to strengthen ties with China and raised the prospect of worsening tensions with Russia.

BoB51: The Town of Mohawk is losing its supervisor and two members of the Town Council. You have until July 11 to file a nomination petition. You could decide how the Town spends down the $1.56 million fund balance, as reported at the June 2013 meeting. Lower the tax levy, lower the tax levy, and lower the tax levy are three very good options. Or, you could decide to try to icrease it to $2 million, as seems to be the trend of the current council. Local seats are usually won by conservative spending and its about time that trend was started in the T.O.M.

"If you think all groups are treated equally you are even dumber than I thought and shouldn't have a thing to *itch about."

And whose fault would it be if the laws were not applied equally????? I know, it would be the very people who are writing the laws.

"Just a question. Why should we have any legislation that targets a specific group. Shouldn't all laws apply equally to all citizens?" In a perfect world they would. If you think all groups are treated equally you are even dumber than I thought and shouldn't have a thing to *itch about.

and before that Mr.Ford also raised the workers' pay to $5/day. A lot of money for the times. His reasoning was that his employees should be able to afford what they are making. A new Model T at the time was about $800.

Regarding Walmart and other large retail stores, a little perspective is in order. During the height of the Industrial Revolution Henry Ford said "You can get any color Ford you want...as long as it's black". Based on the arguments presented here, we've come a long way.

One final comment. Rs wrote 'MrBoB51, you seem to know me so well'. That appears to be an admission that I've been right about you all along. So folks, remember that the next time Rs, the heir to the kingdom of cellar-dwellers tries to fiost his 'knowledge' on this forum, because its mostly made-up BS.

Getting back to Hill, of course my comment was polemical, or, 'an aggressive attack on or a refutation of the opinions of another'. What, you think only progressives are allowed to do that??? HA! No, I am no 'expert', in the bigger scheme of things I understand only a little while phonys like Rs MIS-understand alot. His constant BS happens to be the issue whether he likes it or not. My advice to Rs is to find a Myopic Topic forum. Let me help you with that one too...'lacking tolerance or understanding, narrow minded, short sighted. That's my OPINION.

Me thinking that you're a woman means that I think women are inferior? Where did I say that? If you believe that then you are degrading yourself which means that you think women are inferior. You're much better cutting and pasting. When you try to articulate anything on your own, you reveal yourself as an intellectual wannabe. And I knew your response would include an Obama rant. You never disappoint.

There really is no need for a reply because you have provided all the evidence that is needed to indicate that you feel females are inferior. You gave no evidence that you have a clue about much of anything worthwhile. I tire of your supreme leaders inability to do anything without admitting failure and promoting his partisan divisive policies any your sheepish defense of them. I will now go back to ignoring your childish name calling and probamma rants!

TOT..now that you've got me thinking about this I don't recall you ever denying that you're a woman which leads me moreso to believe that you are one. Actually you are now sounding like a man trapped in a woman's body which would easily explain your anger and resentment over being referred to as a woman. I'm gonna check the affordable Care Act to see if sex changes are covered. More homework for me. I'll get back to you on that as well as nearby hospitals that perform the procedure. I eagerly await your intellectual reply

I really think you are a woman. Is that wrong? Is that a "name"? Are you embarressed over your gender? What's the problem? I see him or his on here all the time and no one takes offense at that. Assuming someone is a man is right, but making the same assumption about a woman is name calling? You're the one with spite and hate. Look in the mirror Jane
