Like the "Kid from Brooklyn dot com" said on one of his Youtube videos. Give all the Passengers a Louisville Slugger (Bat Day) then let’s see some jackwad hijack the plane! It was box cutter the **********ed coackroaches used on 9/11... so let's up the size of the blade to be allowed...pure stupidity!

rschweizer, Huh it wasn't on MSNBC or liberal today? It made it on CNN NBC CBS ABC and many other stations... check with your local communist party leaders... it might be against an ideal that they have.

It was on the local news channels. It is on the internet also.
TiredOfTax, you mean it was a Frenchman and not some Muslim guy with a 'towel' on his head, chanting or shouting some Arabic prayer?!
I guess that answers the question of why no one heard of this.

Would that be considered a MAJOR flaw in security ??

tot Yes it happened on 3-20-13. Certain moroons on here always disagree. It shows thier true intellegence. I care less about them.

Taxtired, only the uninformed would disagree, A Frenchman was arrested after he impersonated a pilot and sat in the cockpit of a US Airways plane in Philadelphia, police say. Go ahead and disagree... it proves that you are wrong!

By the sounds of it you can just walk in the cockpit of a commercial plane. Just happened.

Yes, intellect....you are wasting your time now as you grasp for straws

TOT, you always criticize rs for his intellect and accuse him of "knowing everything". Is a mirror handy for you? If so, have a look

rschweizer, It is great to see that you do not exaggerate anyone's posts. You do not create a problem to exploit to demonstrate your superior intellect... never do that. I believe that what Disc was saying was that the trains have gone virtually unaffected by DOMESTIC violence. The security has not changed much and in the USA there have been few problems with terrorists affecting our rail service. He did not say that there were no vulnerabilities!

One additional comment. Some pilots do carry a hand gun. In order to do so they must first go thru an FAA (?) course and be certified.

'... take the train'
Yes, beacuse trains have never, ever been the subject of terrorist activity.
-Moscow subway bombings 2010
-Madrid train bombings 2004, which I missed by merely days
-London subway bombings twice in 2005, the second of which a colleague of mine was actually injured
Nope. Never happened.

When your number is up... you aint got a thing to say about it. Thats why bad things happen to good people all the time.
As for the gels and liquids, you can thank a potential bomber who had a liquid and was stopped in flight. As for shoes, you can thank the shoe bomber.........like I said, if someone wants to down an a/c they will find a way, not always successful, but enough to do damage to people's lives. My biggest wish as frequent traveler, is CONSISTENCY, something the airlines are always accused of being unable to provide. Now it is the TSA that can not provide consistency.
I am a retired 32 year flight attendant. F/As are opposed to the knives as they are a weapon period. While they may be small they can maime and or kill when used. Your f/a is there for the safety of the flight. We are the first and last line of defense to the flight deck. In one of the 9/11 hijackings the two f/as in the front were stabbed according to the witness f/a in the back. She was on a phone call to the company until the time the a/c hit the tower. She was describing what what going on in the a/c. There are always going to be issues with what the TSA approves or disapproves as they do not seem to talk to the people first in line. Formerly myself. In reality, if someone wants to bring a plane down, they will find a way. And then, just last week Newark airport TSA missed a fake bomb that did pass thru security. (The gov does tests like these all the time.) What if it had been real and not fake. Our lives are going to be like this for the duration.
