I believe that the status quo is much more like oligarchy. Public employees are not the majority they are the minority and are paid in wages and benefits above and beyond the private sector. Unions have in many cases chosen to accept layoffs or job elimination instead of concessions. Are they looking out for the worker? No they are looking at their own greedy needs. The time for these strong arm unions has long passed. Put it up for a vote and I believe that the real majority will speak volumes. TiredOfTaxHmmm I didn't read where there was any talk about eliminating collective bargaining, just limiting them. What exactly do you think would happen if unions no longer existed? Do you believe that something huge would happen? I think that there would be no drastic changes other than being able to get rid of those that do not do their jobs. Good employees will always get the pay that they should or they would be on to the next job to earn what they should. They shouldn't have to drag along all of the worthless employees with them. This was proven by the AP putting in a FOIA request. Posted 427 days ago. Post a Comment |
