Nepotism in City Government

Once again, people have been placed in the appropriate positions to benefit certain city business owners in their quest to GAIN from the city residents under the quise of "urban renewal"! Two newly appointed planning board members have direct connections to two of the larger property owners in the city. Mr. Ferguson is a close friend who entertains these people at hishome along with Mr Anderson and Mr Anderson is the electrician for both of these two property owners. The diner being converted to apartments will pass without difficulty because these people have something to gain from it.

I'm certain if Mr. Ferguson is involved in any way, shape, or form, there will be some sort of personal gain it for himself.

OK there useyourbrain, who is it that is living the posh lifestyle in another area thanks to our generosity? Who gave their family and friends "favors" from the city? I tire from obtuse statements that are pure conjecture!

Morally responsible people who are looking out for the best interest of the city should be allowed to hold these positions. Not city employees who are doing it to personally gain. Once again we have leadership that does not know how to lead--merely follow those who threaten with lawsuits if they don't get their own way. Tired of reading about these people "doing it for the benefit of the city residents". They don't even live here--just take from here to live their "posh" lifestyle!!

Nepotism has always existed at all levels of government and in private industry. Not really fair, but tough to beat. An alderman's son-in-law was recently appointed to the PD.
