GLOVERSVILLE TRASH

JEERS- To the city of Gloversville's new plan to bilk money from the taxpayers. The move to get residents to pay out of pocket for trash removal once again shows us just how low they will go! We are getting nearly NOTHING for our tax dollars now and the take aways are sickening! It won't lower the taxes a single cent as this is why they want the change, they want our money to squander it on "other" city wasteful policies that will in no way whatsoever benefit the taxpayers! WHERE does this all lead to? What is the end game here? You keep raising taxes, chasing away business and taking away city provided services. Throw in the we have a poor preforming, over cost school and a library tax on our Gloversville Free Library and what do you get? Vacant stores, houses that will never sell and a city that is totally BROKE! Hey!! Just find a way to cut the costs!

"I think it's a great idea," Ambrosino said. "I was surprised and happy to see Heath already started to initiate checking everything out." Hardman in May presented the Common Council with an analysis of the pros and cons of privatizing city garbage services. Privatization would mean DPW employees no longer would perform curbside pickup.
