Lisa J. Pollak, age 53, of Johnstown, passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2014, at Ellis Hospital, Schenectady after a long battle with cancer.
Born on August 28, 1960, in Johnstown, she was a daughter of Nunzio Russo of Gloversville and Carol Russo of Johnstown.
Lisa was a 1978 graduate of Johnstown High School and received her associate's degree from FMCC. She loved her job as a kindergarden teacher's aide with the Greater Johnstown School District, where she worked for several years. Mrs. Pollak was of the Catholic faith, a communicant of Holy Trinity Church and a member of the Johnstown P.T.A.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Theodore Pollak, whom she married on September 3, 1988; one son, Kyle Pollak, two daughters, Megan Pollak and Kayla Pollak, all of Johnstown; one brother, Michael Russo of Gloversville; one sister, Anette Miller of Oak Harbor, Washington; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation for friends and family will be on Friday, August 22, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Barter & Donnan Funeral Home, 1 N. Melcher Street, Johnstown.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 23, at Holy Trinity Church, Glebe Street, Johnstown, with the Rev. Kenneth Swain and concelebrated by Rev. Ronald Matulewicz.
Interment will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Johnstown.
