GLOVERSVILLE - A city woman was arrested and charged on multiple counts after she was found nude on the Rail Trail by city police on Sunday.
Jeannie L. Longennecker, 23, of 12 Fifth St., was charged with resisting arrest, third-degree criminal tampering, both misdemeanors; disorderly conduct and exposure of a person, both violations.
According to police, officers were dispatched to 12 Fifth St. for a report of an adult woman sitting on the front porch nude. When an officer arrived at the address, the woman was gone. A witness informed the officer the nude woman left and was walking on the Rail Trail, police said.
Officers checked the trail and found Longennecker nude, speaking with two people, police said. When they approached Longennecker, she asked the two people she had been speaking with to pray with her because she was going to be arrested, according to police.
Police said when an officer attempted to arrest Longennecker, she fought and a minor struggle occurred. She was secured without anyone being injured, police said.
When Longennecker was placed in the patrol car, she intentionally urinated on the back seat and was charged with criminal tampering with property, police said.
Police Capt. John Sira said Longennecker appeared to be in "somewhat of an altered state."
"[There was] no real rationale for her actions whatsoever," Sira said. "She was making statements that weren't lucid."
Longennecker was arraigned in City Court and sent to the Fulton County Jail on $250 cash bail or $500 bond.
