PERTH - U.S. Sen. Charles E. Schumer this morning toured the 515-acre site of the proposed Tryon Technology Park and Incubator Center, as well as Fulton-Montgomery Community College. He urged federal funding for the Tryon site, a former juvenile detention center turned over by the state to the Fulton County Industrial Development Agency. He also met with community leaders at FMCC, which is looking to site a new Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Trades Program at a proposed business training center at the Tryon site. More information will be in tomorrow's paper.
