CHEERS - To Ethan Allen. Nine-year-old Ethan, of Fultonville, has a chronic genetic disorder called mitochondrial disease, causing problems such as asthma, hearing loss and muscle weakness. But Ethan isn't focusing only on his own health. He's also showing concern for others like him who are dealing with the disease, and he's trying to help. Ethan and his family have been raising money for MitoAction, an organization that aims to improve the quality of life for people who are affected by mitochondrial disorders. Ethan will take part in the Sept. 14 MitoAction Energy Walk and 5K in Boston with his team, the Mito Warrior Platoon. Ethan also is collecting bottles and cans to raise money for the organization. We are impressed by Ethan's efforts.
