JOHNSTOWN - An Amsterdam drug dealer was sentenced Thursday in Fulton County Court to five years in state prison.
LaMont A. McWhite, 41, of Clinton Street, was sentenced by Judge Polly A. Hoye as a second-felony offender. He also received two years post-release supervision.
Sentencing was based on McWhite's May 12 guilty plea to one count of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance.
McWhite was arrested March 11.
In other County Court action this week:
Jason T. Sweeney, 37, of County Highway 101, Gloversville, pleaded guilty Wednesday before Judge Richard C. Giardino to one felony count of aggravated driving while intoxicated.
He is slated to be sentenced Sept. 8 - as part of a plea arrangement - to three years participation in county Drug Court and a fine.
Sweeney was arrested April 26.
Allen Vandeusen, 41, of New Turnpike Road, Fort Plain, pleaded guilty Thursday before Giardino to counts of aggravated driving while intoxicated and first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, as part of a plea arrangement.
Sentencing was adjourned until October, but he is slated to receive 1 1/3 to four years in state prison and assessed an unspecified fine.
He was arrested March 5 by the Johnstown Police Department.
