PERTH - State police said a man was arrested Wednesday for growing marijuana on his property.
Joshua R. Gordon, 31, was charged with one felony-count of marijuana possession and one misdemeanor-count of unlawfully growing marijuana.
Police said during a search of 2507 County Highway 107, troopers seized more than a pound of marijuana and found growing equipment, such as lights, empty mason jars and small plastic baggies. Police said troopers found several plants on the property.
When troopers arrived at his residence, Gordon greeted them in wet clothes and explained his appearance was from tending to his plants, police said.
Gordon allegedly told troopers he tried selling marijuana in the past "to make a few bucks," police said.
Gordon is scheduled for arraignment in Town Court on July 21.
