Cheryl A. Bovee

Mrs. Cheryl A. Bovee, 68, of Bleecker, passed away July 7, 2014, at her residence following a long illness. She was born April 22, 1946, in Gloversville and educated in Gloversville schools. Cheryl was a nurse's aide at the former Fulton County Infirmary for 20 years, eventually retiring due to ill health. Devoted to her family, Cheryl's love and caring thoughts were first and foremost with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed spending as much time as she could with them, attending their many activities and events. Cheryl was the self-proclaimed family taxi and caregiver. She always cared for others and was proud to be able to care for her sister Deloris when she was so ill.

An avid reader, Cheryl also enjoyed baking and was an active Facebook user. She will be sadly missed.

She is survived by her husband, Danny H. Bovee of Bleecker, whom she married September 9, 1964; her children, Candace S. Bovee and Melissa J. Bovee, both of Gloversville and Todd C. Bovee (Katie) of Warrenton, VA. She is also survived by a sister, Linda Fonda of Gloversville; a brother, Arthur Erb of Johnstown; and twelve grandchildren, Brittany Lowell, Hannah Bovee, Dakota Bovee, Madeline Bovee, Cheyenne Krauss, Sierra Horton, Brendan Dutcher, Caleb Dutcher, Darianna Port, Brianna Port, Owen Bovee and Andrew Bovee. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Cheryl was predeceased by two sons, Brendan S. Bovee and Danny H. Bovee II; a sister, Deloris Hayden; two brothers, Albert Erb and William Van Hoesen; and her mother, Dorothy Fox.

A service will take place at 1 p.m. Friday, July11, 2014, at Kobuskie-Konik Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St., Gloversville. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville.
