101st birthday

On June 2, Iva Brown, a resident at the Nathan Littauer Nursing Home in Gloversville, turned 101. She was joined by her family for a celebration, and shared 101 cupcakes with the residents and staff. Brown was born June 2, 1913. She attended school in Brookman's Corners, a one-room schoolhouse in Fort Plain. She married Harry Brown in 1944; moved to Gloversville; had a son, Kent Brown; and a stepson, Gerald Brown. In addition, she has two grandchildren and four step-grandchildren.
