BROADALBIN - The Broadalbin-Perth Central School District held its annual employee recognition program on Thursday.
According to a news release, during the program, the district recognized its retirees, newly tenured faculty, and employees who reached service milestones during the 2013-14 school year.
Superintendent Stephen Tomlinson also announced the winners of the third annual Outstanding Patriot Awards. Each year, Broadalbin-Perth recognizes a teacher, instructional staff member and non-instructional staff member.

John Baker, a middle school social studies teacher, received the Outstanding Patriot Award -Teacher.
A teacher for 35 years, including 20 years at B-P, Baker has served as curriculum coordinator, mentor, team leader and BPTA treasurer, as well as adviser for the middle school Travel Club. He also served as director of the Perth Youth Commission for 18 years.
Baker will retire at the end of the year, the release said.
High school Principal Robin Blowers received the Outstanding Patriot Award - Instructional Staff.
The 2011 New York State High School Principal of the Year, Blowers has been principal at the high school since 1997. She has spearheaded several initiatives at the high school, including Saturday School, the Integrated Co-Teaching Model, a credit recovery program, and the Learning Center, the release said.
Director of Operations and Safety Mike Carney received the Outstanding Patriot Award - Non-Instructional Staff. Carney fills a variety of roles at B-P, including overseeing the district's transportation and buildings and grounds departments.
