William Neal Travis, 63, of Gloversville, passed away June 10, 2014, at his home. He was born February 27, 1951, in Spokane, Washington, son of the late Col. John T. Travis and Dorothy L. Travis of Kerrville, Texas.
Mr. Travis was a writer, philosopher and poet. He loved to travel and followed his heart wherever that would take him.
He loved thunderstorms and the changing of the leaves in fall.
He was successfully fighting throat cancer and excited to be finishing treatment soon and being able to travel to Texas.
He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Neal Nelson Farrar, son-in-law, Shane Farrar and granddaughter, Makena Rose Farrar of Lakeway, TX. Mr. Travis is also survived by his siblings, Thomas L. Travis of Nichols Hills, OK, Timothy Travis of Hockley, TX and Diane Perhamus of Kerrville, TX.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 21, at 11 a.m. at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 411 Ranch Road 620 South Lakeway, TX 78734, 512-263-1511.
