David Henry Baker, age 60, of Northville, passed away on Monday, June 2, 2014, at Nathan Littauer Hospital, Gloversville.
He was born on May 2, 1954, a son of the late Hollis G. Baker and Marion D. (Leitt) Baker.
David attended Hudson Valley Community College and received an associate's degree in architectural design in 1991. He made the president's list and was awarded a full scholarship to RIT. He was employed as a leather worker and then as a draftsman, working for a time at Albany Steel.
Mr. Baker is survived by three sons, David Hollis (Krista) Baker of Moscow, Idaho, Michael Baker of Buffalo and Joseph Baker of Averill Park; two daughters, Andrea (Felipe) Munoz of Phoenix, Arizona and Valerie (Mike) Spinelli of Surprise, Arizona; four grandchildren, Brenden Baker, Toaren Baker, Celeste Munoz and Sofia Munoz; one brother, Malcolm (Debra) Baker of Johnstown; four sisters, Martha (Bob) Toner of Exmore, Virginia, Donna Davis of Herkimer, Linda (Doug) Frye of Northville and Joanne (Greg) Rudd of Northville; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. David enjoyed music, playing guitar, fishing and computers. He loved his family and his faith in the Lord.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 6, at the A.G. Cole Funeral Home Inc., 215 E. Main Street, Johnstown, with Pastor Peter Ellis officiating.
Visitation for family and friends will be on Friday prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Fonda.
