Deloris G. Hayden

Deloris G. Hayden, age 77, of Gloversville, passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2014, at Nathan Littauer Hospital Nursing Home.

She was born on February 19, 1937, a daughter of the late Dorothy H. VanHoesen.

Deloris was a Class of 1955 graduate of Gloversville High School. She was employed for many years as a glove maker for the Grandoe Corporation. Mrs. Hayden also worked for Coleco in Gloversville and for Western Wood Products in Seattle, Washington.

She was of the Baptist faith, a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Gloversville and the First Baptist Church in Seattle. Deloris was also dedicated to the Sunday School Program of each church.

Mrs. Hayden is survived by her three sons, Edward Darling of Gloversville, Terry (Diane) Darling of Seattle, Washington and Richard (Carrie) Darling of Santa Maria, California; one brother, Arthur Erb; two sisters, Cheryl (Danny) Bovee of Bleecker and Linda Fonda of Gloversville; seven grandchildren, Richard (Brianna) Darling Jr., Jeanette (Richard) Darling-Walters; James (Libby) Darling, Jim (Zoey) Wlazlak, Jessica (Ron) Forgone, Fred (Laura) Rulison and Tori Rulison; nine great-grandchildren, Peyton Darling, Ryker Darling, Carter Darling, Kaitlynn Rulison, Haylea Rulison, Brock Forgone, Stephen Wlazlak, David Wlazlak and Michael Wlazlak; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her two brothers, William VanHoesen and Albert Erb; sister-in-law, Delores Erb; and daughter-in-law, Barbara Darling.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 4, at the A.G. Cole Funeral Home Inc., 215 E. Main Street, Johnstown, with Pastor Robert E. Walter officiating.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Wednesday prior to the service from 12:00 P.M. (noon) until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Fern Dale Cemetery, Johnstown.
