Perth club plans casino trip

PERTH - The Perth Senior Citizens met May 14, and Chaplain Walter Sparks gave a reading, "The Lord's Prayer. President Glen Van Woert led in the Pledge of Allegiance.

The reports of the secretary by Vice President Dolores Leggiero and treasurer, Mary Stachnick were accepted as read.

The 50-50 raffle winners were Edith Bentley and Kay Knapik.

The group met Wednesday with Sparks, who gave a reading, "My Prayer for You," in memory of Darlene Fredericks. Leggiero led in the Pledge of Allegiance.

The reports of the secretary, Grace Eglin and treasurer, Stachnick, were accepted as read.

The 50-50 raffle winners were Maureen Phillips and Dotty Richeson.

Leggiero, trip chairwoman, reported on the casino trip of June 10 and participants should sign up, a news release said. On July 30, there will be a trip and cruise on the Mohawk River with buffet and music.

Leggiero gave a reading, "Pieces from my Heart."

In old business, Sylvia Zerak reported she has pictures from new memorial park in Florida and pictures from Perth Memorial Day parade.

A recommendation was read for Kathy Herba to receive the Perth Senior Scholarship for the Broadalbin-Perth Central School graduation.

Diane Rozdoiski asked for a moment of silence for John Adamkowski.
