Mrs. Ellen M. Darling, 73, of Gloversville, passed away May 26, 2014, at Albany Medical Center Hospital, following a brief illness. Mrs. Darling was born November 27, 1940, in Schenectady, N.Y., daughter of the late Kenneth and Ida Wyman Collins. She was educated in Scotia-Glenville schools and attended college locally. She spent her entire working career as an auditor for New York State Dept. of Tax & Finance in Albany.
Ellen enjoyed crafts and was always excited about garage sales. For many years she enjoyed camping, especially at Rustic Barns in Corinth with her family. Ellen was an avid traveler and passionate about history and visiting historical landmarks with her family. She will be dearly missed.
Ellen is survived by her children, Alice (Lee) Steele of Ballston Spa, Amanda Teeling (Ean Hayes) of Lake Luzerne, Doug Teeling (Eddie) of Guilderland, Duane (Milli) Teeling of Gloversville, Ken Teeling (Melissa Wheeler) of Gloversville; and a stepdaughter, Rebecca Darling (Don) of Broadalbin. She is also survived by a brother, Richard Dean of Schenectady; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Ellen was predeceased by her husband, Gary R. Darling; and a brother, Ronald Dean.
