Pamela Ann (Savage) Martin of the town of Northampton, passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2014, at 9:40 a.m. at Mountain Valley Hospice on Steele Ave. in Gloversville, NY, surrounded by her family. She suffered from Huntington's Chorea for several years and for the past three years she suffered from cancer as well.
Pam was born on Dec. 14, 1943, in Gloversville, NY. She was the daughter of Earl Savage Sr. and Margret (Loucks) Savage. Pam was a homemaker and she worked at Grando Corp. for about 20 years. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a very strong woman. She loved to cook, bake, and can. She did needle work and ceramics as well.
Pam is survived by her husband, Edward M. Martin, whom she married on March 20, 1960; her five children, Jeffrey P. Martin Sr. (Karen Belfance) Martin, Tammy L. Martin (Mike), Brian K. Martin, Lore (Abel) Martin, Penny L. (Martin) Whitman (John), and Robert E. Martin; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mary-Ellen (Savage) Smrtic. She was predeceased by three brothers, Earl Savage Jr., Edward Savage and James Savage.
There will be no funeral service held for Pam. The family will have a get-together for anyone that would like to remember Pam at the Northville Pink Chicken on Saturday, June 7, 2014, at 2 p.m. RSVP to Penny or Tiffany Whitman at 863-2001 by May 31.
